Are night serums all they’re hyped up to be? Some argue that there are serums that specifically help skin during the day, while some do their best work at night. Some people also believe that night serums are a marketing ploy, arguing that you can be economical and efficient by using the same skin care products during the day and night.

Although it may be more affordable to buy just one thing, your skin often dictates which products you need to use. That is especially true if you suffer from dark spots, acne scars, uneven skin tone, or hyperpigmentation. In some cases, a vitamin C serum will help even out skin tone and reduce the appearance of dark spots. That said, vitamin C is very powerful and can increase skin sensitivity if you go out in the sun. You may experience sunburn or general skin irritation. That’s why vitamin C serums are meant for nighttime use. Continue reading to learn a little more about how the ingredients in this dark spot remover benefit your skin.

Grapeseed Oil

This oil is highly beneficial for people with acne-prone skin. The skin easily absorbs this oil, so it doesn’t feel like you have a heavy, oily layer on the skin’s surface after application. Grapeseed oil is an excellent carrier oil for the DIY dark spot remover in this article, but you can use another carrier oil of your choosing. Sweet almond oil or jojoba oil are two great carrier oils that are beneficial for all skin types

Sandalwood Essential Oil

Sandalwood essential oil has a woody aroma and can provide the skin with a refreshing boost of hydration. It works as a powerful emollient and can help reduce the appearance of skin imperfections. Sandalwood essential oil may also help you achieve smoother, healthy-looking skin

Lemon Essential Oil

Lemon essential oil is a great product that may help treat dark spots, acne scarring, uneven skin tone, or hyperpigmentation. It contains Hesperidin, a flavonoid derived from citrus fruits that exhibits anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties. Hesperidin may help reduce melanin production in the skin, which can help it appear lighter in tone. Lemon essential oil is photosensitive, so only apply it to the skin at night to prevent irritation or sunburn.

Frankincense Essential Oil

This essential oil has soothing and beautifying properties that may help rejuvenate the skin. Because it helps promote youthful, radiant-looking skin, frankincense essential oil is commonly added to anti-aging skin care products. It may also help reduce the appearance of stretch marks and acne scars

DIY Dark Spot Remover

Ingredients:

 • 12 drops lemon essential oil
 • 4 drops sandalwood essential oil
 • 2 drops frankincense essential oil
 • Grapeseed oil
 • Amber glass dropper bottle

Instructions:

 • Unscrew the cap on the dropper bottle and add all of the essential oils. Make sure the glass is amber or dark because UV-protected glass helps the contents retain their health properties.
 • Fill the remainder of the dropper bottle with grapeseed oil, but be sure to leave some room so it doesn’t overflow when you put the dropper top in.
 • Screw on the top and shake to combine. That’s it!
 • Before use, make sure that you wash your face thoroughly and pat the skin dry with a facial towel.
 • Add about 3 drops of the dark spot remover to clean and dry hands. Rub hands together to evenly distribute and then massage into the face until absorbed.

Olive oil is a pantry staple in many households. It’s a healthy dietary component that people use in numerous culinary applications. The same properties of olive oil that benefit the body internally, may also contribute to better skin health. In fact, olive oil may help to provide relief from sun damage, combat dry skin, and protect against environmental damage.

What Is Olive Oil?

People make olive oil by pressing olives and expressing their oil. The rich monounsaturated fatty acid and antioxidant content makes olive oil a healthy addition to diets and skin care regimens. Manufacturers regularly incorporate plant oils like olive oil into cosmetic products because of its many health benefits. Olive oil is a high-performing plant oil that has moisturizing and emollient properties. You can easily damage olive oil with excessive heat, light and the addition of oxygen, so store it in a cool area with the cap on tight.

Helps Repair Damaged Skin Tissues

The skin is the largest organ in the body that protects the body from external harm, including sun damage. What protects the skin from these threats, though? It’s your responsibility to take good care of the skin and protect it. Olive oil has regenerative that may help repair skin tissues that the sun damages. The antioxidant activity is most effective in areas where cracked skin exists, for example, on the elbows and knees. It’s also possible for olive oil to protect against inflammation, environmental damage, and general irritation.

It May Accelerate Wound Healing

Olive oil contains triterpenes, specifically erythrodiol, uvaol, and maslinic acid. They exhibit cardioprotective activity, antitumoral activity, and anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties. These triterpenes are especially beneficial for wound healing, cell proliferation, cell migration, and collagen deposition. In simpler terms, olive oil may enhance the body’s ability to repair wounds at a much quicker rate.

Helps Prevent Water Loss

Olive oil is an emollient with occlusive properties, meaning that it helps to seal moisture into the skin. Extra virgin olive oil, specifically, has nourishing properties that encourage optimal skin hydration. The vitamin A, E, and K content help to moisturize even the most sensitive of skin types. Olive oil works to lock moisture into the skin by increasing the skin’s natural water content. This not only improve the general health of the skin, but also keeps it looking healthy and smooth.

Helps Remove Makeup

When people apply makeup and then take it off, it’s very common to experience dry skin. The reason for this is because some makeup removal products contain aggressive surfactants, which increase dryness and sensitivity. There are some cleansing soaps that effectively and safely remove makeup, but they can be hard to find. To remove traces of sunscreen and makeup, use olive oil because it emulsifies with those products on the skin. That aids with their complete removal when you wipe the skin with reusable pads or a warm washcloth. When you massage olive oil on the face in circular motions, you’ll see it start to emulsify with the traces of makeup or sunscreen.

It May Combat Aging

Aging is a natural part of life, but external factors and unhealthy habits can accelerate this process. The high polyphenol content in extra virgin olive oil may help combat the aging process. Dermatologists believe that the antioxidant activity helps to fight free radical formation, which can contribute to the aging of cells. Olive oil also combats the harmful effects of ultraviolet damage from sun rays. Applying it to the skin may not only lighten sun spots, but also reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, especially around the eyes.

Olive oil is an excellent product to add to your skin care regimen, but it’s best to purchase extra virgin olive oil. Regular olive oil is often a blend that includes both cold-pressed and processed oils. Extra virgin olive oil is made from pure, cold-pressed olives, meaning you get the nutrients directly from the olives.

The post The Many Health Benefits Of Tea Tree Oil appeared first on Dherbs - The Best All Natural Herbal Remedies & Products.

]]>

Tea tree oil is one of the most popular essential oils in use. Also referred to as melaleuca oil, tea tree oil comes from the Australian Melaleuca alternifolia tree. It has the ability to kill numerous bacterial and fungal strains and has prominent use in historical, herbal healing practices. To this day, tea tree oil remains an alternative, complementary treatment for common skin problems.

There are many studies that indicate the diverse health benefits of tea tree oil. Many health experts attribute the healing properties to the inherent terpenoids, which exhibit anti-fungal and antiseptic activity. Terpinen-4-ol is abundant in tea tree oil and scientists believe it to be the primary reason for tea tree’s antibacterial properties. In the past, tea tree oil has helped people overcome symptoms of vaginal yeast infections, athlete’s foot, acne, mild nail infections, and even minor cuts and burns.

Note: Keep in mind that tea tree oil is a very powerful essential oil. Experts do not advise that people apply it directly to the skin. Please dilute it in a carrier oil (like olive oil, jojoba oil, or sweet almond oil) before topical application. Direct application of 100% tea tree oil can result in burning, allergic reactions, or skin irritation.

Reduces Appearance Of Acne

According to many anecdotal reports and research studies, tea tree oil has the ability to reduce inflammation caused by acne. Roughly 50 million Americans suffer from acne at a given moment. One study monitored the effects of tea tree oil gel and a placebo for acne treatment. The results indicated that the tea tree oil group experienced a reduction in total acne and the severity of acne. The placebo experienced limited to no improvement.

Help For Athlete’s Foot

Athlete’s foot is a common fungal infection that occurs on the feet. It’s very contagious and can spread from the feet to the toenails to the hands. A controlled trial monitored the use of 25% tea tree oil solution, 50% tea tree oil solution, and a placebo in 158 people. After two daily applications for one month, the two tea tree oil solutions proved to be more effective than the placebo. In the group that used the 50% solution, about 64% of the participants were cured. 31% of people in the placebo group were also cured.

Reduces Dandruff

It’s common for many adults to experience dandruff. It can result from poor diet, excessive shampooing, or chemical hair care products. Mild dandruff that is related to the Pityrosporum ovale yeast may be remedied with a 5% tea tree oil solution. One study found that shampooing with a 5% tea tree shampoo for one month led to less itchiness and greasiness. Additionally, participants experienced improvements in the severity of dandruff. A different study found that tea tree oil shampoo may benefit children with cradle cap. The solution has to be diluted before used on an infant. Test on the baby’s arm and rinse to see if a reaction occurs within 24-48 hours.

Great For Toenail Infections

Be the cause nail abnormalities or a result of untreated athlete’s foot, nail fungal infections are quite common. They are also problematic because treating them is difficult. One randomized study examined the use of a solution with 5% tea tree oil and 2% butenafine hydrochloride in 60 people. After 16 weeks, 80% of the people who used the cream experienced significant improvement. Another study monitored the twice daily application of 100% pure tea tree oil versus 1% clotrimazole solution (common anti-fungal medication). After six months, the tea tree oil group proved to be more effective as an anti-fungal remedy.

For Cuts, Infections, And Scars

Historically, people used tea tree oil for wound healing. Experts attribute tea tree’s ability to accelerate healing to the antiseptic and antibacterial properties. The broad-spectrum antibacterial activity helps damage bacterial cell walls, helping to kill bacteria. One study in the British Medical Journal found that tea tree oil is a powerful disinfectant. Another study found that a combination of tea tree oil and raw honey helps reduce burns and scarring.

Bye Bye Itchy Skin

As mentioned earlier, tea tree oily can help reduce itchiness and dryness associated with dandruff. The anti-inflammatory properties offer soothing and relief from itchy areas of skin. Several studies found that tea tree oil has the ability to reduce inflamed, itchy skin. One study found that it reduced itchiness as a result of nickel sensitivity. The study used pure tea tree oil application, but it’s better to apply it with a carrier oil.

Are you ready to become obsessed with an incredible moisturizer that helps reduce wrinkles and fine lines? The answer is “yes,” in case you were not aware. It’s not like a bunch of people are asking for wrinkles and age spots. Everyone wants to look younger, but you have to use ingredients that have anti-aging properties to achieve this goal.

The anti-aging moisturizer in this article has four simple ingredients; that’s all you need. You don’t need a slew of products that you dumped your life savings into. It also helps if you focus on healthier foods because your diet plays a large role in the health of your skin. If you eat the right foods and use this moisturizer, your skin will be looking younger in no time. The ingredients in the moisturizer explain why it really works.

Lavender Essential Oil

Lavender essential oil is extracted from the lavender plant. It is a common essential oil in aromatherapy that works to promote relaxation and better sleep. Recent preliminary studies found that the antioxidants in lavender essential oil help combat oxidative stress in the body, which may reduce wrinkles and fine lines. It also helps to reduce the appearance of scars by encouraging healthy tissue growth.

Argan Oil

Argan oil is beneficial for both the hair and skin. It’s rich in both linoleic and oleic acid, which are essential fatty acids that are beneficial for acne-prone skin. Argan oil is great for moisturizing the skin because it is easily absorbed, which is great if you live in dryer climates. The vitamin A and E work to moisturize the skin, while also promoting healthy skin tissue development. This has been known to reduce the appearance of wrinkles

Frankincense Essential Oil

Rich in powerful antioxidants, frankincense essential oil has been know to fight free radicals in the body. These highly reactive molecules seek out electrons to pair with in the body. If too many pair with electrons, it can lead to DNA damage, which accelerates the signs of aging. The antioxidants in frankincense essential oil help put a stop to this damage to improve overall skin quality.

Shea Butter

The micronutrients, essential fatty acids, and antioxidants in shea butter are excellent for keeping the skin moisturized. When it comes to anti-aging properties, researchers believe that shea butter’s antioxidants play a large role. Other studies confirmed that shea butter also helps to reduce roughness, sagging, hyperpigmentation, and wrinkles

DIY Moisturizer With Anti-Aging Benefits

Ingredients:

 • 1/4 cup shea butter
 • 2 tablespoons argan oil
 • 5 drops lavender essential oil
 • 5 drops frankincense essential oil

Instructions:

 • Add the shea butter to the top of a double boiler and pour a couple inches of water in the bottom of the double boiler.
 • Place this over medium-low heat and stir the shea butter until it melts. Remove from heat and pour into a four-ounce heat-safe glass jar.
 • Add the argan oil and the essential oils to the jar and stir to combine. Allow the mixture to harden at room temperature and then screw the lid on the jar.
 • Apply a small amount to the face at night before bed so your skin can absorb the anti-aging properties overnight.

Those frustrating scar-like lines around the hips, abdomen, upper arms, thighs, and lower back are stretch marks – and they are embarrassing! Formed in the dermis layer of the skin, stretch marks appear when the dermis is stretched for long periods of time, for example, during pregnancy or after severe weight gain or weight loss. Because the skin is stretched for a long time, it doesn’t return to its original state, resulting in unflattering stretch marks.

Roughly 90 percent of women who get pregnant develop stretch marks. They are almost inescapable because the fibers in the skin snap and break, causing the reddish, brown, or white “scars” in the areas where they appear.

The Good News

Most stretch marks will fade or reduce over time, but you can accelerate this process by topically applying the right ingredients. Lotions and magic potions can help to lubricate the skin, but rarely do they address stretch marks. You need ingredients that penetrate the dermis to nourish the skin from the inside. You can also do another crazy thing to help with stretch marks…

Eat To Get Rid Of Stretch Marks

Applying topical solutions to the skin can help get rid of stretch marks, but you need to address the problem from multiple angles. By focusing on real foods, you can help nourish the skin cells and increase collagen production. It is beneficial to consume nourishing fats (avocados, olive oil, coconut oil, and nuts and seeds), healthy plant-based proteins (legumes, leafy green vegetables, and whole grains), and complex carbohydrates (quinoa, organic berries, squash, and sweet potatoes). And although you may not want to hear this, it is wise to eliminate processed foods, refined sugars, refined carbs, and unhealthy fats if you want to effectively get rid of stretch marks.

The Key Ingredients

Coconut Oil

The skin easily absorbs coconut oil, allowing it to penetrate the skin on a deeper level; this is also attributed to coconut oil’s low molecular weight. The healthy fats in coconut oil can then bond with proteins in the skin and improve elasticity.

Shea Butter

Shea butter has been proven to assist with skin cell regeneration, which contributes to smoother skin. According to the American Journal of Life Sciences, a study of 30 volunteers, who used Shea butter on their skin on a daily basis, diminished premature signs of aging.

Homemade Stretch Mark Cream

Ingredients:

 • ½ cup raw cocoa butter
 • ¼ cup raw Shea butter
 • ¼ cup extra virgin coconut oil
 • 1 teaspoon vitamin E oil
 • 2 tablespoons rosehip seed oil
 • 2 tablespoons sweet almond oil
 • 20 drops geranium or lavender oil

Instructions:

 • Melt the cocoa butter, Shea butter, and coconut oil in a double boiler. Stir to combine them and them remove from heat.
 • Pour the mixture into a heat-safe glass container and mix in the remaining ingredients. Allow it to cool to room temperature.
 • You can place the mixture in the refrigerator (no more than an hour) to accelerate the cooling process. You want it to solidify but you don’t want it to firm up so much that you can’t mix it.
 • Remove the bowl from the fridge once it has slightly solidified and use a hand mixer or an immersion blender to whip it into a cream.
 • Spoon the cream into a glass container, seal tightly, and store in a cool dry place. Apply to stretch marks as needed.

Your skin is the largest breathing organ, which means that you should know exactly what you are putting on it. Applying toxic chemicals like commercial beauty products or prescription creams/ointments can often result in acne, rashes, skin spots, dry skin, or wrinkles. These signs are the skin’s way of rejecting foreign toxins. Rather than just looking for the eco-friendly option, dive deeper and aim for cruelty-free, organic, and all-natural products. How do you find these? You make them.

A common misconception about skin care products is that organic and all-natural are interchangeable words. They are not. For your benefit, it is optimal to get something that is both organic and all-natural, simply because it means that you are providing your skin with the purest forms of the ingredients. We, however, want you to buy separate organic and all-natural ingredients so that you can make your own skin care products. Trust us when we say that your skin will be appreciative.

Your Skin Will Be Softer

Most lip balms, moisturizers, creams, and lotions often contain drying agents that counteract what they are supposed to be doing! Using real ingredients without drying agents helps your skin stay hydrated, nourished, and soft.

You Might Notice Clearer Skin

This is not guaranteed because everyone’s skin is different and each person reacts to ingredients in various ways. Halting the use of chemical-rich moisturizers may have a positive affect on the endocrine system, though. These products contain synthetic hormones that can lead to acne, fertility issues, or hormonal imbalance. You may break out using your standard lotion, but your skin may respond positively to an all-natural moisturizer.

Let’s take a look at some of our favorite DIY skin care products below. If you make them, let us know how they work out for you.

When you hear the word “chamomile,” you immediately feel some sense of tranquility. It is a peaceful, relaxing herb that offers comfort and soothing, especially when you have a cold or sore throat. It’s incredibly versatile and has a variety of health benefits, but rarely do people use it for all that it has to offer. For instance, chamomile has the ability to reduce acne scars and provide relief from skin irritations. The antibacterial, antiseptic, and anti-fungal properties make it the perfect ingredient for maintaining healthy skin.

Benefits of Chamomile

Anti-Aging

The antioxidants in chamomile help to brighten the complexion and give the skin a youthful glow, but they also work to protect the skin from free radical damage. Working to balance the skin’s pH level, chamomile helps to tighten pores, slow down the aging process, and accelerate cell and tissue regeneration.

Dark Circles Be Gone

People who throw away used bags of chamomile tea have been throwing away natural remedies for dark circles under the eyes. After drinking a cup of chamomile tea, place the tea bags in the fridge to cool them. When your eyes are feeling heavy or drained, place the chilled chamomile bags on your eyes to reduce puffiness and dark circles.

Reduces Acne

Are you at war with breakouts? Acne is typically related to impurities in the blood, so we suggest cleansing the blood to improve your complexion. If a cleanse is not in the cards at the moment, you can use dried chamomile flowers to help reduce scars, fight breakouts, and fade dark spots. The antiseptic and anti-inflammatory properties help to clear up your skin.

While chamomile is an impressive natural remedy, we would be lying if we said that it was the only star of the show for this face wash. Raw honey is an especially valuable cosmetic ingredient that works to even out skin tone, reduce acne, and heal scars. Because of the way honey is created, the natural enzyme activity and healing bacteria unite to generate powerful healing properties.

Benefits of Raw Honey

Lightening and Brightening

According to several studies, the exfoliating properties of raw honey help to reduce dark spots on your skin. Raw honey also works to remove dead skin cells, which make your skin look run-down and older. Washing your face with honey can help remove bacteria and cleanse the pores, making your skin brighter in the process.

Scar Fading

Raw honey works to accelerate the body’s natural healing process. Many people use raw honey as a spot treatment for scars, or as a face mask to reduce acne scars. More research needs to be done on the scar reducing properties, but current research points toward the fact that raw honey is beneficial for burn scars and scars from deep cuts.

For Acne

When you use honey for acne, especially acne that is on your face, it is crucial to use organic raw unfiltered honey. The reason for this is because raw honey contains healthy bacteria that work to cleanse pores, reduce inflammation and redness, and heal blemishes. Manuka honey is also beneficial for face masks or scrubs.

DIY Face Wash

Ingredients:

 • ½ cup unscented castile soap
 • 75 cups filtered water
 • 2-3 tablespoons organic raw unfiltered honey
 • 8 teaspoons almond oil
 • 5 tablespoons dried chamomile flowers
 • 12 drops melaleuca essential oil
 • 12 drops lavender essential oil
 • 8 drops cold pressed rosehip seed oil
 • 1 glass foaming soap dispenser

Instructions:

 • Create a double boiler by filling a medium saucepan halfway with water and placing it over medium heat. Once the water is simmering, reduce the heat to low and place a metal bowl on the saucepan.
 • Pour the almond oil into the bowl and stir in the chamomile flowers. Let this infuse for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally. Once the time has elapsed, remove from heat and let it cool for 5-10 minutes.
 • Strain the oil through a cheesecloth into a glass jar. Set aside.
 • Pour the water into the soap dispenser and then add the soap and infused almond oil. Screw the lid on the dispenser and shake to combine.
 • Once the bubbles have settled, pour the honey, rosehip oil, lavender essential oil, and melaleuca essential oil into the soap dispenser.
 • Tighten the lid, give it a shake, and dispense a foam dollop into your hand to cleanse your face after all that hard work.

Skin tags, also known as acrochordons, are benign skin growths that resemble tiny flaps of skin. From a medical standpoint, skin tags are harmless, but they can cause self-esteem issues in those who have them. They typically appear where the skin folds, for example, around the neck, over the eyelids, under the armpits, under the breasts, or in the groin folds. They are usually brownish, irregular-looking skin outgrowths.

Let It Be Known: Skin tags and warts are not the same thing. That is all.

When you are attempting to get rid of skin tags, it is important to cut off their blood supply. Even though this can happen gradually over time, there are certain natural ingredients that can do that for you.

Tea Tree Oil

Because tea tree oil contains antifungal, antibacterial, and antiviral properties, it helps the skin tag fall off by itself. You won’t even feel the removal process! Soak a cotton ball in water and add three drops of tea tree oil. Clean the area around the skin tag with soap and water and dry the area. Massage the skin tag with the cotton ball three times a day.

Apple Cider Vinegar

This is an age-old remedy for getting rid of skin tags. The acidity of apple cider vinegar, along with the pH balancing properties, works to make the skin tag go away. Soak a cotton ball in two tablespoons of raw apple cider vinegar and apply it to the skin tag after cleaning the area. You can massage it three times a day, or tape the cotton ball on overnight until it naturally falls off.

Banana Peels

Banana peels have actually been known to be an effective remedy for wart removal. They contain enzymes and acids that can help you shed skin tags. Cut a small portion of the peel and apply the fibrous part (white side) of the peel to a clean skin tag for about an hour a day until it the tag falls off.

Manuka Honey

Manuka honey is a non-peroxide honey variety and applying it to the skin tag works to restrict the oxygen supply, which helps with the removal process. Manuka honey also contains healing properties that help the skin heal faster once the skin tag falls off. Additionally, it helps prevent scars.

Garlic

Garlic contains antibacterial and antifungal properties. In order for this remedy to work, you have to crush the garlic because the juices help to remove the skin tag. Apple 1-2 cloves of crushed garlic on the skin tag for about an hour. Do this twice daily until the skin tag falls off.

Castor Oil

Known to remove warts and moles, castor oil can also help with the removal of skin tags. The potent phytochemicals in castor oil help with the quick removal of skin tags and they promote a swift recovery. Apply 1-2 drops of castor oil on your skin tag and cover it with a bandage. Reapply this the castor oil bandage two or three times daily.

Making your own body wash is one of the best ways to address your skin’s needs. Some people need a body wash to help moisturize, while others need a concoction that contains antibacterial properties. Certain commercial soaps and body washes claim to have these benefits, but they often contain chemicals that can contaminate your internal organs because your body absorbs them via the skin.

We came across this particular recipe and fell in love with its simplicity. Each ingredient works to benefit the skin in a different way. We particularly love the effects of raw honey on the skin. It is best to use organic, unfiltered raw honey for the best benefits. The antibacterial properties of raw honey work to penetrate the pores and keep them clean. If you are using jojoba or coconut oil as a carrier oil, they both help to prevent bacterial buildup after the honey cleans the pores.

Which Carrier Oil To Use?

The most common carrier oils are coconut, avocado, argan, sweet almond, or extra virgin olive oil. Virgin coconut oil contains medium chain fatty acids that help to kill bacteria on the skin. Continued use of coconut oil has been linked to clearer complexion and fewer breakouts. Olive oil, on the other hand, is beneficial for those with dry skin or people with nut & seed allergies. Even though it nurtures the skin, remember that it does have a potent aroma. You can also use avocado oil, which helps to increase collagen and moisturize the skin, especially during the winter. Additionally, avocado oil is rich in omega-3s and beneficial antioxidants!

Which Essential Oils To Use?

The essential oils you decide to mix in with your soap will depend on your desired scent and the different health benefits. Lavender oil is a mainstay in the world of essential oils. It has a signature scent that helps to relieve stress, prevent acne breakouts, and heal old scars. Rosemary oil has potent anti-aging properties that help to improve skin elasticity. It has also been known to combat stress and provide the body with free radical-fighting antioxidants. Finally, you can use tea tree oil, which has been known to help those with eczema, psoriasis, or acne. It has moisturizing and soothing properties that prevent dryness; and it smells lovely!

Ingredients For Soap:

 • ¾ cup castile soap (Dr. Bronner’s is a great option)
 • ¾ cup virgin organic coconut oil
 • ½ cup raw honey
 • 15 drops essential oil(s) of your choice

Instructions for Soap:

 • Combine all of the ingredients in a glass soap container and mix well. Make sure this container is airtight when you place the soap dispenser on it.
 • Use a few pumps of it in the shower, being careful to avoid your eyes.
