Imagine a cute little jar layered with creamy goodness and vibrant colors. Well, you just clicked on that recipe! This mango papaya chia pudding is slightly different than the standard chia pudding recipe we usually post. This culinary creation is a tropical treat that is perfect in the middle of fall! It has a layer of creamy mango and papaya for the base with classic chia pudding on top. It’s almost like a chia pudding parfait! You can layer that mango papaya mixture several times between the chia pudding if you want to create a uniquely textural and more visually stunning dish.

The unique thing about chia seeds is that they turn into gelatinous pearls when you soak them in liquid, be it almond milk, water, cashew milk, or coconut milk. Seeds plus liquid somehow equals something similar to tapioca? Yes, yes indeed! Chia seeds are also nutritional powerhouses, replete with omega-3 fatty acids, fiber, protein, and more. Omega-3s are great for heart and brain function, while fiber aids digestive health.

Not only is mango sweet, juicy, and downright irresistible, but it is also loaded with vitamin C, making it a fabulous immune booster Mangos also contain a wide variety of antioxidant compounds, which work to fight off pesky free radicals that contribute to oxidative stress. Finally, you have papaya, which offers a smooth texture and subtle sweetness. This fruit is a digestion hero because it contains papain, an enzyme that works to break down protein. Papaya also contains substances that may accelerate the healing of infections and small wounds.

Get ready for a breakfast smoothie that gives you energy and aids digestive function. Bananas help provide you with healthy carbs, while the ginger and cinnamon encourage optimal immune function. Some studies have found that both cinnamon and ginger work to boost metabolism as well. Even though ginger and cinnamon are intense spices, the sweet banana and creamy homemade almond milk help to mellow those flavors. The key ingredients for the smoothie are as detailed below:

Banana: According to several studies, consuming bananas may help improve digestion. Researchers attribute this to the resistant starch, the type of fiber in unripe bananas. It is a prebiotic, which escapes digestion and ends up in the large intestine. Once they are in the large intestine, they become healthy bacteria that feed the probiotics in your gut. Additionally, the pectin in bananas may help you avoid constipation and soften stools.

Ginger: Including ginger in your diet may help reduce fermentation, constipation, and other causes of intestinal gas and bloating. Various studies confirm that ginger helps relieve nausea by encouraging stomach emptying. Both fresh ginger and ginger powder offer the same health benefits. That said, fresh ginger does not have as long a shelf life, so you must refrigerate or freeze it to help preserve it.

Cinnamon: Cinnamon is probably one of the best fall seasonings. It exhibits impressive antioxidant activity and can help regulate blood sugar levels. Plus, helps to add a warm aromatic flavor to the smoothie.

If you feel like you want to jazz up the smoothie a little more, feel free to add a pinch of turmeric, some raw cacao powder, and one or two dates to enhance sweetness.

Ah yes, an alien-looking green treat. Doesn’t that excite your inner child? This pistachio pudding is a creamy creation that exhibits robust flavor that is not overpowering in sweetness. In fact, the nuttiness of the pistachios helps to tame the sweetness of the maple syrup. The real hero of the recipe is the avocado, which not only contributes to the beautifully green color, but also enhances the creaminess of the pudding. Don’t worry, it will not taste like guacamole!

You can enjoy this pistachio pudding for breakfast, dessert, or even as an afternoon snack. If you want to go full dessert status, consider, popping a jar in the freezer and you can enjoy the pudding as a frozen treat. It makes two servings, so you can enjoy one serving as a pudding and one as an ice cream. You can also double or quadruple the recipe if you want to make more. Just keep in mind that it will only last for a few days in the fridge before it goes bad. It does, however, last longer in the freezer. Once it thaws, though, you have about a day or two to enjoy the pistachio pudding.

If you are digging the pistachio vibes and can’t seem to enjoy enough of them, feel free to add some chopped pistachios atop the pudding. This extra step adds a textural element to your pudding, but it’s an optional step. No matter how you garnish your pudding, one thing is for certain: this pudding supplies you with lots of protein, fiber, healthy fats, antioxidants, anti-inflammatory compounds, and much much more. We hope you love it!

Chia pudding is always a hit during your cleansing experience. It’s a highly enjoyable breakfast item that gives you some reprieve from smoothies. Just to be clear, this is not a smoothie-bashing post. We love smoothies and they are an excellent way to consume a lot of nutrients in one fell swoop. Chia pudding is another great way to consume a lot of nutrients in one meal. It’s also an excellent meal option to fill up on the cleanse, especially for breakfast because it contains a lot of fiber, protein, and healthy fats.

Anyone can make chia pudding, but we decided to elevate this recipe with some juicy summer peaches. We went with white peaches, which have a more delicate, floral sweetness than intense yellow peaches. These peaches bruise more easily, so be careful when handling them. Some people appreciate white peaches more than the yellow varieties because they aren’t tart. Instead, they are more aromatic and lightly sweet, which makes them great to include in chia pudding. In fact, the extra kiss of sweetness from the maple syrup helps balance this breakfast dish.

Chia pudding is a great option if you want to meal prep your breakfast. You can make a larger batch, but you may want to freeze the jars if you are making enough for a week. The reason for this is that chia pudding will only last two to three days tops in the fridge. So if you want to have two to three days of the same breakfast, this recipe will can get you there. Good luck and let us know how you like it in the comments.

Greek yogurt is just one of the many items on the list of non-vegan foods you have to avoid while cleansing. This can be a big deal during your cleanse, especially if you rely on Greek yogurt as a breakfast item. There are definitive health benefits to Greek yogurt, for example, it helps to boost digestive function and nourish healthy bacteria in the gut.

Although a raw vegan yogurt will not have the same probiotic bacteria that Greek yogurt has, it may be able to replace your signature yogurt breakfast during your cleanse. Just be mindful that raw vegan yogurt can contain more calories, due to the cashews and bananas. Blended cashews offer a lovely creaminess to puddings, dressings, and more, as do bananas, so the two of them together make for a smooth and creamy yogurt.

The lemon juice adds a lovely tartness to the yogurt, but if you don’t enjoy lemon, you can omit it. Perhaps you enjoy a more vanilla flavor. Swap the lemon juice for about one teaspoon of maple syrup and one teaspoon of alcohol-free vanilla extract. Consider a dash of cinnamon as well to really round out that warming vanilla flavor!

Let’s talk about the delicious taste of this chia pudding, which is like enjoying a slice of homemade pie, but in a jar. The difference is that, unlike traditional pecan pie, this chia pudding does not contain excess sugars and fats. It won’t leave you feeling bloated or terrible about yourself after finishing a serving. In fact, the chia seeds will help replenish your energy stores, aid your fiber intake efforts, and help regulate blood sugar levels. How about that?

The raw vegan pecan pie chia pudding we are talking about is a creamy, rich, and indulgent breakfast, dessert, or filling snack. Made with chia seeds soaked in homemade almond milk, this is a simple chia pudding topping with a candied pecan topping. The chia mixture thickens overnight in the fridge, thickening into a pudding-like texture. This happens because the chia seeds absorb the liquid and create a gel-like texture, which is very similar to tapioca.

When you take a bite of this pecan pie chia pudding, you’ll taste that signature sweet and nutty flavor of pecan pie. The maple syrup provides a hint of warmth and depth, but you get a little spicy kick from the cinnamon. The flavor is reminiscent of a traditional pecan pie, but without the added sugar and processed or refined ingredients. This raw vegan version is lighter, fresher, and more nutritious, making it an ideal dessert option if you want a healthier indulgence.

Chia pudding is an excellent breakfast, nutritious snack, or healthy sweet treat. Even though people commonly enjoy chia pudding as a breakfast, it often feels like a sweet indulgence. There is no shortage of chia pudding recipes on our website, some of which are quite unique. You can really make it your own and get creative with what you include. You can go the plain route, adding just a hint of sweetness, or you can blend different fruits into the mix.

Summer is the season of cherries, and they’ve started showing up in grocery stores. Although you can purchase Rainier cherries or sour cherries, the best variety for this recipe are the classic, dark red sweet cherries. They are both sweet and tart, so you don’t have to worry about an overly sweet pudding. If you are worried about sweetness and prefer things on the tarter side, start with less maple syrup and increase as needed. You don’t have to include any maple syrup if you feel that the cherries will provide enough sweetness on their own.

Although this recipe calls for homemade almond milk, you can use any homemade nut or seed milk that you make from scratch. That said, you can use other store bought non-dairy milks if you are not cleansing. Finally, if you are one of those people who despises coconut, you do not have to include it in this recipe.
