There are certain DIY enthusiasts that lunge at the opportunity to make all sorts of beauty and cleaning products. From shampoos and detergents to toothpastes and facial masks, the DIY world can be quite extensive. There are people who only want to tiptoe in the DIY waters, though, making one or two simple recipes. If you fall into that group, the one-ingredient masks in this article are for you.

Whether you have dry, oily, or great skin, there are one-ingredient face masks that benefit all skin types. They are quite gentle, making them great for anyone who has sensitive skin. One of the greatest parts is that there is minimal prep time. No double boilers, melting wax, infusing oils, or purchasing rare butters. In fact, it’s safe to assume that you probably have a few of these ingredients in your house already.

The world of DIY can be very simple. It doesn’t mean that you have to search far and wide for rare herbs or head into the forest for forbidden sap. The following one-ingredient beauty masks epitomize simplicity, and the best part is that they all benefit the skin.

Manuka Honey

Raw, organic unfiltered honey is beneficial for the skin as it is a natural humectant. That means that it attracts moisture to the skin and helps to keep it there. The best honey to use topically on the skin is Manuka honey, which comes from the Manuka tree. Native to New Zealand and eastern Australia, the Manuka tree produces small flowers and the honey that bees make from it can do wonders for the skin. When you apply Manuka honey to the skin, it draws water molecules into the stratum corneum, the top layer of the skin. If you notice that dry flakes start to accumulate on the skin, lather a thin layer of Manuka honey on your face and leave it on for 10-20 minutes before rinsing with warm water.

Yogurt

Before you open a random yogurt container, it’s best to choose plain, full-fat Greek yogurt for best results. This type of yogurt is rich in alpha-hydroxy acids, including lactic acid, which helps to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. Lactic acid is also a chemical exfoliant that gently removes dead skin cells and contributes to a brighter complexion. Full-fat Greek yogurt also contains B-complex vitamins, including B5, which helps to nourish the skin. Yogurt is also rich in probiotics that help enhance the skin’s microbiome.

Aloe Vera

Aloe vera is a soothing ingredient that you can easily apply to the skin. Mainstream beauty companies love aloe and you can commonly find it in many skin care products. Most people resort to aloe after experiencing a bad sunburn, but you can easily whip up a face mask with aloe. If you desire, you can incorporate other ingredients from your kitchen to enhance the benefits, but that is completely optional. Purchase 100% pure aloe juice at the store or use a fresh aloe plant if you have access to one. Aloe vera exhibits lots of antibacterial properties and helps accelerate wound healing, which is great for anyone dealing with acne. Apply aloe juice or gel to your skin and rinse with warm water after 10 minutes.

Colloidal Oats

We do owe you an apology because this beauty mask contains two ingredients. You have to add purified water to the colloidal oats in order to form a paste that you can apply to the skin. Please forgive us! Due to the high antioxidant content, colloidal oats exhibit significant anti-inflammatory properties. Colloidal oats contain avenanthramides, which are a group of phenolic alkaloids that are particularly beneficial for reducing itchiness and inflamed skin. If you experience irritated skin, mix enough water with colloidal oats to form a paste and apply it to the skin. Leave on for 10 minutes and then rinse with warm water.

Massage guns have vibrated their way onto the fitness scene, and they’re more popular than ever. Celebrities, professional athletes, influencers, and people of all athletic levels praise these massage tools. Whether you lift heavy or go for long runs, massage guns aim to improve overall performance and reduce muscle soreness, which aids recovery.

What Are Massage Guns?

They are vibrating, handheld massage toys that can pulverize your muscles in the best way possible. Technically speaking, they use percussive massage therapy as opposed to vibration therapy. When you turn one on, it percusses at a high frequency and low amplitude of movement. These actions help to knead muscles and reduce overall tension, which can impact flexibility. Several studies found that by reducing muscle tension, people experienced better blood flow and a reduction in overall stiffness

Think of a massage gun as a mini jackhammer for your muscles. Percussive massage works to hammer out soft tissue to increase blood flow to the area of focus. Additionally, the gentle percussion can decrease the severity of adhesions (essentially scar-like tissue in the muscles) and help elongate muscle fibers. These massage guns are most effective in common areas where people experience regular pain, for example, the shoulders, neck, back, thighs, and glutes.

How Do They Differ From Foam Rollers?

Foam rolling is a form of self-myofacial release, which helps to relieve soreness, tightness, and inflammation. Fascia is the connective tissue that surrounds muscles, nerves, and blood vessels. Facia become tight or inflamed and the ability to move easily becomes hindered as a result. By engaging in regular foam rolling, you can help increase overall joint range of motion. Just like massage guns, foam rolling exercises aid with cool-down and recovery, but they’re also an effective warm-up tactic.

There is an advantage of massage guns when compared to foam rollers. A major advantage is that they are better at targeting specific areas of the body. It can be tricky to address certain body parts or muscles with a foam roller. Take the pectoral muscles or biceps, for instance. It’s much easier to target them with a massage gun, which can help promote relaxation in areas that commonly experience tightness.

Using A Massage Gun As A Warm-Up Tool

Some people like to jump rope or do jumping jacks for whole body warm-up. Many physical trainers prefer to use massage guns as warm-up tools. Many people only exercise a specific group of muscles when they workout. If this is the case, you can use a massage gun to target those specific muscles for about six to 10 minutes. The percussive nature preps the tissues for exercises, making them less prone to injury and damage.

Using A Massage Gun As A Cool-Down Tool

Exercising causes lactic acid to build-up in muscles, which is why you feel sore post-workout. Similar to foam rolling, using a handheld massage gun on sore muscles after exercising can accelerate recovery. Repeated percussive massage to the muscles helps to decrease the ability of muscle fibers to cling to lactic acid.

What Should You Look For In A Massage Gun?

There are so many reputable and affordable massage guns on the market nowadays. It used to be that the only ones you could get cost $500. Now, you can shop them on the Internet for $40 to $600. Ideally, purchase a massage gun that has multiple speeds and attachments. Different speeds can create a more diverse massage, while the various attachments can help you address specific areas of the body.

It’s also wise to look for a massage gun that is on the lighter side, preferably within the two- to four-pound range. Since you’ll be holding it for nearly 10 minutes, you don’t want something that weighs 10 pounds. Additionally, choose a massager that is relatively quiet, as some models sound like jigsaws. Consider a massage gun that has a brushless motor. Lastly, battery life is another factor to consider. Some massagers run for three hours, while others die after 80 minutes of use.

Massage guns are an excellent investment in your overall health, specifically when it comes to performance and recovery. You won’t regret buying one!

Wearing a facial covering or mask helps to reduce the rapid spread of the novel coronavirus. Presymptomatic and asymptomatic carriers can unknowingly spread the virus, so wearing a mask is a preventative measure. Since gyms recently reopened, researchers started to look at the side effects of facial coverings during exercise.

Gyms took preventative measures, including temperature checks upon entry, making sinks and lockers out of order, and deep cleaning throughout the day, as they welcomed gym-goers back. The decision to wear a mask during a workout is up to the individual. According to scientific research, the same facial covering that helps slow the spread of COVID-19 makes exercise worse.

An Example Of Why You Shouldn’t Wear A Mask During Your Workout

A 26-year old man in China’s Wuhan city wound up in the hospital after he went for a jog while wearing a facial covering. The report stated that he ignored the fact that he experienced difficulty breathing during his jog. Because he hadn’t worked out in months due to the lockdown, he decided to push himself a little harder. He ran for six kilometers, instead of his regular three kilometers. Upon arriving home, he experienced chest pain and was immediately rushed to the hospital. The doctors concluded that one of his lungs collapsed as a result of engaging in intense cardiovascular exercise while wearing a mask.

What Sciences Says About Exercising With A Mask

When you exercise, you breathe harder and faster than normal. Naturally, this worries people because this increases the risk of passing on the virus if you are a carrier. Scientists say that masks make it difficult to inhale the amount of air needed when exerting more energy. Wearing a mask, then, strains the airflow and prevents carbon dioxide from leaving the body.

When you engage in heavy exercise, especially weight lifting, running, interval training, or resistance training, muscles produce lactic acid, which causes that burning sensation. The lactic acid is converted to carbon dioxide, which the body eliminates via exhalation. The mask can actually trap carbon dioxide, so you begin to re-breathe carbon dioxide, which ultimately reduces cognitive function and breathing rate.

Growing Evidence That Wearing Masks Affect Breathing

The British Journal of Sports Medicine published a commentary about face coverings restricting breathing and causing physical discomfort. Several scientists started to wear masks to conduct self experiments, since the pandemic prevents large-scale lab experiments. According to Len Kravitz, a professor of exercise science at the University of New Mexico, people can experience lightheadedness during familiar workouts if they don masks. Kravitz conducted a mini experiment with two student athletes. One ran without a mask and did not experience breathing difficulties. The other ran with a cloth mask and felt dizzy after a couple minutes.

Another test revealed that the concentration of oxygen reduced when running on a treadmill with a mask. At the site of the test, atmospheric oxygen was 21% at sea level. When running with the mask, atmospheric oxygen reduced to 19.5%, which equates to nearly 2,000 feet above sea level.

Masks Become Wet During Workouts

More studies show that wearing a mask while exercising creates a moist environment underneath, especially when worn for long periods of time. This can increase the risk of acne or other facial rash due to increased presence of trapped microorganisms. If you plan on exercising with a mask on, please bring extra so that you can change the mask if it becomes wet.

Before people suggest wearing a facial covering during a workout session, more research is needed to ensure the safety of the athletic community.

Many people have the desire to eat healthily, but it can be difficult to determine which foods are necessary for the optimal health of you or your family. You don’t want to deprive yourself of certain treats that you enjoy, but you understand that solely eating unhealthy foods will result in illness or disease. With all of the conflicting information on the web about the health benefits of certain foods, how do you know which foods to add to your diet?

What if you didn’t have to do research about the foods you should eat? There are many trustworthy foods, meaning there are foods that are, quite simply, life-changing. Now, adding the foods in this article to your unhealthy diet will not fix your situation. It takes more than a few fruits and vegetables to improve your health; rather, it takes thinking about food differently and embracing fresh foods for a healthy life, not bad foods with a shelf life.

As you move forward in a healthier direction, take time to learn about the healing properties of different foods. Additionally, take the time to notice negative reactions, like bloating, gas, acid reflux, water retention, or skin irritations, after eating other foods. These are common signs of food sensitivities that you may not be aware of. When you eliminate the foods that are making you sick and focus on regularly consuming healing foods, the body will no longer be confused by food. This allows for full mind and body connection, a powerful step towards health.

Celery

Celery is one of the trendiest foods to eat or juice right now. The anti-inflammatory properties work to starve unproductive mold, fungus, bacteria, or viruses that are present in the body and eliminate toxins residing in the digestive tract or liver. Regularly consuming celery is one of the best ways to alkalize the gut. This can be attributed to the trace mineral salts, which work symbiotically with each other to raise the body’s pH and flush out toxic acids. Celery is not the bland vegetable you thought it was; rather, it helps to support neuron function and hydrate the body on a cellular level. If you have any of the following symptoms, try bringing celery into your life:

  • Sluggish liver
  • High cortisol levels
  • Abdominal distension
  • Dry eyes
  • White film on the tongue
  • Acid reflux
  • Inflamed gallbladder
  • Rashes

Raw Honey

If you are going to consume honey, the best honey you can consume is organic raw honey. Don’t think that honey is just sugar because it is far from high fructose corn syrup or table sugar. In its raw form, honey contains a wide range of undiscovered phytochemical compounds and agents that have anti-cancerous properties. The B12 coenzymes and absorbable sugar make raw honey one of the best brain-boosting foods. Additionally, raw honey supports healthy immune function because of its adaptogenic nature. In fact, it should be a go-to remedy if you are experiencing stomach problems or cold and flu symptoms. Raw honey is true medicine and it is worth adding to your diet if you are experiencing:

  • Sore throat
  • Inflammation
  • Canker sores
  • Bacterial infections in the gut
  • Alzheimer’s disease
  • Respiratory infections
  • Bronchitis
  • Eye infections

Apples

In case you didn’t know, apples are the ultimate colon-cleansing food. The pectin in apples moves through the gut, simultaneously collecting and removing bacteria, yeast, and viruses. The pectin also helps to eliminate impacted debris and protein, which hides in intestinal pockets and feeds on harmful bacteria like E. coli. Apples contain phytochemicals that help increase electrical activity and feed neurons. The pigments, especially deep reds, in the skins of apples contain compounds that help improve digestive strength, which is an essential step towards healthy weight loss. Finally, one of our favorite aspects of apples is that they contain glutamine and serine, both of which are amino acids that can detoxify the brain of monosodium glutamate (MSG). If you are experiencing the following symptoms, add one to three organic apples a day to your life:

  • Hypoglycemia (and other blood sugar imbalances)
  • Anxiousness
  • Weight gain
  • Back pain
  • Acid reflux
  • Equilibrium issues
  • Fatigue
  • Gas, bloating, or constipation
  • Dandruff

Ginger

In the hectic, fast-paced world we live in, we need foods that can slow the pace and keep our thoughts and emotions from spiraling out of control. When the body remains in a heightened, reactive state all the time, stress related illnesses like adrenal fatigue, sleep apnea, insomnia, digestive issues, and spastic bladder are more likely to develop. The antispasmodic properties of ginger help to relax tense areas in the body for up to 12 hours. Ginger helps the body let go of tension, no matter if it is in the muscles or organs. One way ginger does this is by eliminating excess lactic acid from muscle tissue. While lactic acid builds up after exercise, it can also build up because of increased stress hormone production. Ginger also enhances the body’s B12 production and aids with DNA reconstruction. If you experience the following symptoms, try adding ginger to your life:

A sea salt soak is a therapeutic remedy that can enhance your cleansing experience or promote relaxation. Sea salt is a great purifier that helps to rid the body of negative energy. It is also alkaline, which helps to lower the acidity of the body. When you soak in a the sea salt bath, the saltwater penetrates your pores and is absorbed into the bloodstream. From there, the salt helps to remove accumulated lactic acid in the body. Lactic acid, which can build up in muscle tissue and make you feel stiff or sore, becomes present in the body after strenuous workouts or heavy activity.

Sea salt and Epsom salt are the only recommended salts to use for soaks. Sea salt is widely available and comes in many varieties. Avoid regular table salt at all costs. If you don’t have sea salt, you can use:

  • Celtic Salt
  • Himalayan Salt
  • French Salt
  • Atlantic Salt

How To Do A Sea Salt Soak

Begin by running hot water that you can tolerate in your bathtub. While the tub is filling up, add 1.5 cups of sea salt to the water. If you so desire, you can add essential oils  or Dherbs formulated bath drops to the water for added benefits. You can use the essential oil combinations below with your sea salt soak.

For A Calming & Relaxing Soak

  • Add 2-3 drops of French Lavender, 2-3 drops of Peppermint, and 2 drops of Roman or Yellow Chamomile to the bath.

To Alleviate Aches & Pain

For A Spiritual Soak

  • Add 2 drops of Frankincense, 2 drops of Myrrh, 2-3 drops of Sandalwood, 2-3 drops of Davana, 2-3 drops of Oakmoss to the bath.

For A Detoxifying Soak

  • Add 2 drops of Oregano oil, 2 drops of Parsley, 2 drops of Hyssop, 2 drops of Eucalyptus, 2 drops of Turmeric, 2 drops of Juniper Berry and 3 drops of Tea Tree oil to the bath.

After deciding which soak you are going to use, enter the tub and relax. To fully absorb the benefits of the sea salt and essential oils, soak in the tub for about 45-60 minutes. Relax, meditate, listen to music, read a book, sing if you want to, and try to focus on the health of your body. Before you get out of the tub, rinse off in lukewarm water. Scrub yourself with a loofah brush or wash yourself thoroughly with a towel.

Following the soak, you may like to use a moisturizing oil on your body. Be sure to use a natural, botanical oil on the skin because these can help the skin to breathe properly. Some excellent skin oils to try are:

  • Extra Virgin Olive Oil
  • Organic Virgin Coconut Oil
  • Sweet Almond Oil
  • Jojoba Oil
  • Kukui Oil
  • Avocado Oil

Health Benefits of Sea Salt Soaks

Sea salt soaks offer a wide variety of health benefits, helping your body to recover in many ways. They can also be very therapeutic to the spirit. Regular practice of sea salt soaks can be beneficial to those suffering from:

  • Dry skin disorders
  • Acne
  • Musculoskeletal pain and swelling
  • Eczema
  • Psoriasis
  • Arthritis pain
  • Sports injuries

Eclampsia is the gravest form of toxemia in pregnancy. Toxemia is medically defined as the presence of bacterial toxins in the bloodstream, also known as blood poisoning. The word toxemia is derived from the word toxic, which means of or pertaining to poison; of a disease or condition severe and progressive.

Symptoms

The condition is characterized by seizures, coma, hypertension, proteinuria, and edema (swelling of the feet).

The symptoms of impending convulsions often include anxiety, epigastric pain, blurred vision and headaches. Usually, the body intelligence uses the first trimester to rid the body of excess toxic waste. However, when a female body is too toxic and a gentle form of prenatal cleansing is not performed, the toxemia can be carried over into the second and third trimesters of the pregnancy and could present a host of problems that could make the pregnancy an un-enjoyable and very complicated experience.

Causes

Eclampsia is a condition of excess acidosis. The pregnant female’s body is too acidic and too toxic. Her blood is poisoned. Her liver is compromised. This is why many pregnant females with eclampsia are told they have acute jaundice or hepatitis. Excess acid in the body will undoubtedly convert into mucus and collect where there is a low energy site that requires attention, in the case of eclampsia, the liver.

How did the pregnant female’s body become so toxic? The answer is tragically simple: poor diet and lifestyle. She ate excess meat, which breaks down into corrosive nitrogen and uric acid that eat away at the kidneys. Uric acid crystals build up in the kidneys and then make their way down to the feet causing edema or mild gout.

She probably also ate excess dairy products such as ice cream, butter, cheese, sour cream, yogurt and milk; substances that not only breaks down into lactic acid but which forms the basis of fibroid tumors and a host of other serious female pathologies.

In addition to the above, the toxic mother-to-be consumed too much sugar, table salt, MSG, chocolate, refined grains donuts, cakes, cookies, pies, bagels, toast and cereal, soda, coffee, and a host of other food-like substances that sabotage human health.

Natural Healing Strategies

Eclamspsia can be prevented or healed by cleansing or detoxifying the body in advance of pregnancy. It is ideal to detoxify the body at least 3-4 times a year, or at least once a year at a minimum.

Individual herbs that are great in preventing or healing eclampsia include all liver herbs, which include:

White Peony Root is the best liver herb for eclampsia because of its affinity for the female constitution.

Blood cleansing herbs are also a must in preventing or healing eclampsia. These include:

The colon also must be addressed in preventing or healing eclampsia. Effective colon herbs include:

The best natural substance a female could use to prevent or heal from eclampsia is carbon, also known as activated charcoal. Nothing removes poison or toxins (including heavy metal toxins) from the body like carbon.

The crystals and gemstones Stillbite, Emerald, and Marginite emit exceptional and potent anti-poisoning vibrations and properties and make a very effective gemstone elixir which carbon can be added to (and drank) which guarantees successful anti-poisoning results.

Our lungs were created for the purpose of taking in oxygen and expelling carbon dioxide. Because oxygen is required for survival, the lungs could be said to be the most important organs.

Oxygen levels need to be at 39% for optimal health. In the United States, the oxygen is on the decline, which might explain why respiratory health problems are on the rise.

Major Respiratory Health Issues

Asthma

Asthma causes serious obstruction of the airways, usually in the form of an “attack.” During an asthma attack, spasms in the muscles surrounding the bronchi constricts, inhibiting the exhalation of stale air. Breathing is very difficult. Prescription inhalers only provide short term relief. Relief never provides or leads to a remedy.

Mucus plays a pivotal role in asthma. Mucus causes the bronchial tubes to swell and become plugged. The severe burning (especially while and after coughing) is due to the inflammation caused by the mucus in the lungs. This mucus obstructs and irritates the mucous membranes (internal skin) of the lungs.

Asthma attacks involve serious coughing. Coughing is a natural body reflex to expel mucus. However, many times in asthmatic cases, there is only coughing and no expectoration of mucus. This is because the mucus is so hardened and stubborn that it cannot be dissolved with the absence of water.

Water dissolves mucus. But because the tissues of the lungs have no water in them, the mucus there cannot be dissolved, so the mucus sits in the lungs taking up room that should be for oxygen and simultaneously inflames the lungs causing that burning an asthmatic feels in his/her lungs. Remember, mucus is ACIDIC and acid burns!

Bronchitis

Bronchitis is inflammation of the bronchi tubes. The bronchi are tubes that lead to the lungs. Basically, the bronchi tubes are obstructed with mucus, which causes inflammation. Bronchitis also involves serious coughing in an attempt to expel mucus from the bronchi tubes.

Bronchitis can be either acute or chronic. In either case, mucus is the culprit. However, the triggers of bronchial chest spasms in cases of bronchitis may be viral, bacterial, or caused by fumes, including cigarette smoke.

Pneumonia

Pneumonia is an acute infection of the lungs. Pneumonia is also caused by mucus obstruction. When the tiny air sacs of the lungs become filled up with mucus, inflammation results and the medical term is pneumonia.

Natural Healing Solutions

Conscious breathing, which utilizes deep breathing, is excellent for helping manage respiratory illnesses. Deep breathing exercises will help to strengthen and revivify the lungs. It will also help to dissolve hardened mucus in the lungs, sinus cavities and nostrils. Conscious breathing exercises or yoga is highly ideal for overall respiratory health.

There are a plethora of potent and effective herbs that are great for the lungs and the respiratory system. These are pulmonary, expectorant and demulcent herbs and include:

  • Mullein (leaf/flowers)
  • Lobelia
  • Fenugreek
  • Coltsfoot
  • Boneset
  • Comfrey
  • Marshmallow (Althea)
  • Licorice
  • Pleurisy
  • Slippery Elm bark
  • White Pine Bark
  • Hyssop
  • Eucalyptus
  • Yerba Santa
  • Elecampane
  • Ground Ivy, and
  • Horehound

Essential oils are also effective for respiratory health and healing. Oils such as:

These essential oils can be added to a diffuser or bath water. Inhaling the vaporized molecules of these oils in the air or hot water steam of a bath will dissolve hardened mucus, open nasal passages, and clear sinus and lung congestion.

Some of these oils such as Eucalyptus and Peppermint can be rubbed in to the chest area (on top of a carrier oil) before bed which will greatly help to do the things mentioned above.

Crystals such as Angelite, Pink Tourmaline, Aventurine, Blue Chalcedony, Emerald, Iron Pyrite, Amethyst, Peridot, Chrysocolla, Pietersite, Rose Quartz, and Prehnite help in healing all lung disorders. They can be placed directly on the Fourth Chakra (located at the thymus gland) situated between the chest area or added to drinking water.

Any country area that is laced with trees is great for healing respiratory problems like asthma and bronchitis. Remember, trees help us by converting carbon monoxide into oxygen.

Arizona is one of the best places to go to help eradicate respiratory illnesses and challenges. Arizona contains many pine trees. Pine trees (as well as Eucalyptus trees) can help improve breathing conditions.

Dietary Intervention

A high alkaline diet consisting of plenty of raw and organic fruits and vegetables can improve respiratory problems. Green foods are high in alkalinity and also contain chlorophyll and will help to dissolve mucus throughout the body in general and the lungs and respiratory tract, in particular.

Drinking alkaline water can also help in eradicating respiratory diseases. Alkaline water is highly alkaline and therefore counteracts acidity. This water greatly helps to dissolve mucus so that mucus can be expectorated from the body. It is very important to drink a lot of water period, but especially so if you suffer from bronchitis or asthma.

Poor diet is the greatest physical cause of lungs and respiratory diseases. The worst offenders are:

  • Dairy
  • Meat
  • Refined, processed grains
  • Starches
  • Acidic beverages

Dairy is greatly mucus forming. People battling respiratory illnesses should remove all dairy products from their diet. Dairy breaks down into LACTIC ACID, which creates mucus, especially in the lungs.

Meat breaks down into URIC ACID, which creates mucus. All meats should be eliminated from the diet if you want to regulate respiratory issues.

Refined, processed grains convert into starch and also break down in to mucus and saturate in the lungs.

Starches too, the refined and processed ones, also break down into acid, CARBONIC ACID, and cause excess mucus production that may saturate in the lungs and other parts of the respiratory tract.

Acidic beverages should be avoided because they help create excess mucus buildup in the body. Acid-forming beverages include:

  • Beer, wine, champagne and all other spirits
  • soda pop
  • milk
  • hot cocoa and hot chocolate
  • coffee and lattes
  • chocolate milk
  • butter milk
  • commercial tea beverages (such as Snapple)
  • egg nog
  • Kool Aid
  • commercial orange juice
  • commercial brand punch (such as Hawaiian Punch)
  • commercial brand lemonade
  • commercial energy beverages (such as Red Bull, Gatorade)

There are many reasons and factors for stomach problems which I will elucidate herein, but before we get to the causes and effect and the solutions or remedies for stomach problems, let us first get a basic understanding of what the stomach is and what it does.

One should not be so surprised that stomach problems are rampant in people today, especially in the Western world. No other nation of people has the high incidence of stomach problems like Americans.

When you consider the Standard American Diet, hectic work schedules, fast-paced lifestyles, and level of negative emotions (i.e. anger, hatred, frustration, worry, bitterness, etc.) we carry and execute every single day of our lives, it’s plain to see why stomach problems are rampant.

Causes

Clearly diet, a poor diet, plays a pivotal role in stomach problems and disorders. Take meat (dead, slaughtered animal flesh) for example. Meat is too rough and tough on the stomach. It’s hard for the acids in the stomach to digest meat. And while humans do have protease, an enzyme that breaks down protein, this protease was meant to break down natural protein which would be plant-based sources of protein, not dead slaughtered animal flesh that you call meat under its many umbrella terms, i.e. chicken, beef, lamb, pork, etc., that many people erroneously believe is a source of protein. Cooked animal flesh is NOT protein. You cannot cook a dead animal and get protein. When the animal is first killed and its flesh is raw, you have protein; but when you cut it up into different body part pieces and cook (alter) it, you don’t have protein anymore. What you have is a serious poison to the body that greatly taxes the stomach and intestines.

Meat sits in the stomach and colon for days and just rots and putrefies allowing worms and parasites to enter into the body.

Meat breaks down into uric acid and this is not good for the stomach, which is already acidic by nature. Eating meat adds more acid to the stomach.

And then you eat some liquid meat called dairy. Milk is another protein by definition that is processed and altered. Dairy products (milk, sour cream, ice cream, butter, and yogurt) convert into lactic acid inside the body. This occurs in the stomach. But remember, the stomach is already acidic.

Acid reflux is an attempt to remove the excess acid by making the acid go back up the stomach. Acid reflux burns (inflammation) because that’s what acid naturally does.

Dyspepsia is an intestinal disorder and plays a role in the cause of peptic ulcers, gallbladder disease and chronic appendicitis.

Stomach bloat

A bloated stomach is a condition most females can identify with, whether they’re pregnant or on their menstrual cycle. Men too can identify with bloated sensations or feelings, especially if they love ice cream. Dairy products cause a severe bloated sensation and flatulence.

Effervescent beverages like soda pop outright kill the stomach and colon. Soda pop is just too acidic. Wine, beer, alcohol and other spirits (evil spirits in bottles) also kill the stomach and colon.

Eating too fast

When we chew food too fast, we also cause stomach problems. Eating on the run and trying to eat within a 30-60 minute lunch break wreaks havoc on the stomach and colon. Instead of chewing our food 30-60 times, we only chew our food 5-10 times before we swallow.

Americans are binge eaters, especially females, due to lack of love on the deepest levels of existence. Lack of natural love is made up or substituted with food.

Many people (especially females) are in unhealthy relationships that are very stressful (and that they can’t stomach), which in turn causes stomach problems.

Stress is very damaging. You should always avoid stress. Stress is a sign that something is not right in your life. Stress is not natural. Stress is one of the many negative emotions that destroy mental, spiritual and emotional joy and happiness.

Stress, anger, hatred, worry, envy, jealousy, and bitterness are no good for the stomach. These negative emotions (energies) shut down the pleasure principle (Second chakra).

The Dangers of Commercial Antacids

Over-the-counter antacids have calcium, but it’s inorganic, meaning it can’t be digested and absorbed into the body.

According to the Handbook of Over-The-Counter Drugs (1992) by GW Manning, Every year Americans spend millions of dollars on medical products to relieve acid indigestion and heartburn from periodic bouts of overeating and drinking.

Manning goes on to state the following: It seems you can hardly watch television or pick up a magazine without seeing an ad of some kind for an antacid product that claims to do wonders for indigestion. With lifestyles the way they are, eating on the run is a part of everyday living, and indigestion is the unwelcome fringe benefit. Medical statistics show that over twenty million Americans suffer daily from heartburn and these are the heaviest antacid users. Another one third of the population experiences occasional symptoms.

Manning also offers the following statement, antacid sales continue to show a healthy increase in sales, about five percent a year. That amounts to hundreds of millions of dollars annually, making antacids the fourth largest OTC (over-the-counter) category. Ibid, pg. 295

Most brands contain not only harmful inorganic calcium, but also contain inorganic magnesium, aluminum (culprit in Alzheimer’s disease); and aspirin (which breaks down into acetic acid which literally burns a hole through the intestinal walls and also causes ulcers).

Antacids contain magnesium and aspirin because of the headaches that are generally caused by or associated with acid indigestion or heartburn.

The Headache-Stomach Problem Connection

Many headaches are in fact bilious headaches and are thus caused by extreme acidosis. Bilious headaches result when there’s too much acid in the digestive system and the gallbladder releases the green, bitter gall substance, which is very alkaline. This is the body’s natural attempt to counteract the acid in the digestive tract. Bile is the body’s natural antacid. When you pass or defecate out dark green colored stools, this is a sign that you ate something very acidic in the past that taxed your system to the point that excess bile had to be released in an attempt to restore harmony in the digestive tract.

Many headaches are caused by stomach and intestinal (colon) problems, which is why you really have to keep your colon clean and conditioned.

Healing for Stomach Problems

Any good natural laxative and herbal bitter will help heal stomach problems. Good herbs for the stomach (and liver) are usually orange and yellow in color, i.e. Cascara Sagrada, Goldenseal, Bayberry, Tumeric, Ginger, etc.

Laxative herbs such as Cascara, Senna, Rhubarb, Aloe Vera resin, and Buckthorn will greatly help heal the stomach and intestines. Laxative herbs induce evacuation of the bowels.

Carminatives are excellent for stomach problems. Carminatives are herbs that normalize digestive system peristalsis to relieve flatulence (gas) and include Anise Seed, Cayenne Pepper, Licorice, Basil, Cardamom Seed, Ginger Root, Cinnamon and Caraway. Carminatives are great as after dinner teas.

To eradicate stomach spasms, take antispasmodic herbs. Antispasmodic herbs are muscle relaxant herbs that relieve cramping and spasms and include Cramp Bark, Black Haw, Lady’s Slipper (very expensive due to being rare); Wild Yam, Chamomile and Valerian Root.

Alkalizing the body via diet (consumption of raw, green foods) greatly helps in eradicating stomach problems, especially where there is excess acid.

The crystal Carnelian is a great stomach stone. Carnelian’s beautiful bright to dark orange color resonates with the stomach energy. The color of the Second chakra is orange. Our stomach emits an orange color and also resonates with the D tone. The color orange and the D-tone (vibration) opens the Second chakra, which in turn helps to balance our emotions predicated at this energy site. An elixir made of Carnelian is great to take for all stomach complaints and disorders. Carnelian fosters strength, hence intestinal fortitude.

Essential oils of Ginger, Peppermint and/or Wintergreen are excellent for stomach disorders. They work like a charm and bring near instant results. Simply rub a carrier oil (i.e. Olive, Castor, Almond, or Grape Seed oil) into your stomach and massage 1-3 drops of one of the essential oils supra into your stomach area. Do the same thing with the bottom or soles of your feet, this time using 3-5 drops on your soles.

To tell if a mineral is unnatural, look for is a word or two after the main word. For example, calcium is what nature produced. If you see Calcium Carbonate, then you know man produced it. When another word or chemical name is added to the name of a mineral, this means the mineral is not natural.

“Avesil” uses synthetic man-made chemicals which means there’s a flip-flop effect to its results. This means any short-term benefits will likely result in long term adverse side effects which are very common with man-made products.

The first suspect ingredient we will tackle in this article is “Chrome Mate.” Chrome-mate is ‘O-Polynicotinate Chromium” – chromium that has been bound to niacin, a synthetic chemical grade of niacin which is toxic to the body. Anything unnatural is toxic to the human body.

O-Polynicotinate Chromium is a PATENTED form of Chromium and you know what this means – it’s synthetic and not natural because plants can’t be patented, only drugs! So if a thing is patented, that means it was made by man and not Nature! Man cannot outdo Nature and history proves this. All man can do is create Frankensteins or distortions (monsters, freaks).

Nature has produced CHROMIUM (organic chromium), not “O-Polynicotinate Chromium” or any other type of chromium, including Chromium Picolinate, which is also a patented form of chromium! Man has produced these unnatural forms of chromium.

To tell if a mineral is unnatural, all you have to look for is a word or two after the main word (name of mineral) and you’ll know it’s synthetic. For example, calcium is what nature produced. But if you see “Calcium Carbonate”, then you know man (corporation) produced it. When another word or chemical name is added to the name of a mineral, this means the mineral is not natural.

You can also look to see if the mineral has an atomic weight and number, which all minerals do. There should be a definite amount of electrons per molecule. Also, are the minerals carbon and copper-based? If not, you have a monster or freak product!

“Avesil” also uses the drug “caffeine” which is addictive. Caffeine is a stimulant.

“Avesil” has been formulated to work on the basis of thermogenesis, the process that increases the rate in which fat is burned. But how can you work on thermogenesis without addressing the need for iodine phosphate, which the thyroid gland needs for purposes of thermogenesis? The thyroid gland needs iodine, not caffeine or chromium.

Another suspect ingredient of “Avesil” is Citrimax. Nature knows of no such product. No Citrimax tree or plant exists in Nature. Clearly it was invented by man, deriving it from something natural, and that something natural is Garcinia fruit, which Nature produces.

While Garcinia fruit is natural, it is really not that effective (at least by itself) for purposes of so-called major weight loss.

The name “Clinical Strength Super CitriMax” denotes that the product has been invented in some laboratory and “clinical” testing has been done. This is why the word “clinical” is in the name of the product.

The product allegedly decreases the appetite. Now why would you want to decrease the appetite when the appetite is a natural thing? You see, you only have to decrease the appetite or only need to decrease the appetite when you’re consuming UNNATURAL food and drink. Period!

“Avesil” cannot compare to Dherbs.com “Weight Release (Loss) Formula” which sells for $14.95 for 100 vegan (vegetarian) capsules, whereas “Avesil” sells for $89.95 (which is a discounted price), which is just $75 cheaper than our whole and entire 3-week “Weight Release Cleanse and Regimen” which sells for only $165.00

Avesil’s free trial is NOT free at all when you read the company’s fine print:

“You will have 14 days to try Avesil and discover why it is the perfect Weight-Control Formula for you. If you are satisfied with Avesil, do nothing – at the end of your free-trial period you will be charged the discounted price of $89.95. Plus, if you decide to keep Avesil, you will receive a fresh supply of Avesil approximately every 30 days at the same low price of $89.95, a 22% discount”. AVESIL

Fatburner.net had this to say about “Avesil’s” free trial offer:

“$89.95 for a free trial! Are you kidding me? That is a scam if I’ve ever heard one. When a company charges you for a free trial and forces you into an auto ship you should be very wary of the company your dealing with. It’s safe to assume that Avesil doesn’t have the highest quality ingredients and isn’t the most effective weight loss supplement if they have to trick you into buying it.” Fat Burner. Net

“Avesil” or Dherbs.com’s Weight Release Formula? There’s really no comparison!

What Everybody Ought To Know About Citrimax

What everybody ought to know about Citrimax… Researchers from the Netherlands report that the popular dietary supplement, CitriMax (also known as hydroxycitric acid, HCA, or Garcinia cambogia) has no effect on the amount of fat you burn during exercise.

An ingredient found in many weight loss supplements, HCA is found in the rind of the fruit of Garcinia cambogia, which is used in Asian cuisine. HCA is certainly nothing new. Animal studies as far back as the 1970’s show that large doses of HCA inhibit the conversion of carbohydrate to fat. Citrimax

More recently, there have also been claims that HCA can reduce cell levels of malonyl-CoA (an enzyme that slows the rate at which fat is burned as energy). In theory, at least, this would increase the number of fat calories you burn during exercise, speeding up weight loss. Putting the theory to the test, a team of scientists from Maastricht University persuaded a group of ten cyclists to take part in two trials [1]. Both tests involved two hours of cycling. During the first trial, the cyclists consumed a drink containing 18 grams of HCA. In trial two, they were given plain water.

* When they used HCA, the cyclists burned an average of 0.68 grams of fat per minute of exercise.

* When they weren’t given HCA, the cyclists burned an average of 0.66 grams of fat per minute of exercise. Not much difference is there? Now, despite the fact that HCA before and during exercise has little effect on the amount of fat you burn, what’s interesting is the large drop in lactic acid levels seen in subjects using HCA.

* After 30 minutes of exercise, lactic acid levels were significantly lower in subjects using HCA.

* For the rest of the two-hour ride, lactic acid levels remained lower in the cyclists using HCA.

Lactic acid

Lactic acid is associated with (rather than causing) that “burning” sensation you get in your muscles when you exercise.

Even at rest, your body produces some lactic acid. During exercise, however, lactic acid can build up because the rate of production is greater than the rate of removal. Although it’s often thought of as a “waste product,” lactic acid can actually be “recycled” by your liver and used as energy. Potentially, HCA could increase the rate at which your liver converts lactic acid into glucose. However, whether this would actually improve your performance in the gym is open to debate. The amount of HCA used in this study was extremely high (6-30 times the amount used in previous studies), and most people don’t have the time to sit on a bike for two hours.

What about HCA and weight loss?

Most research shows that relatively low doses of HCA has little impact on weight loss. It’s supposed to work by limiting the conversion of carbohydrate into fat, also known as de novo lipogenesis (DNL). Although a recent study shows that HCA can limit DNL [2], this really doesn’t happen to a significant extent in humans unless you’re eating a hypercaloric diet containing large amounts of carbohydrate (which would be a pretty dumb thing to do if you’re trying to lose weight).

Many runners and joggers don’t know it, but there is danger in running and jogging, especially when performed daily.

These Western exercises serve to compensate for the sedentary lifestyles of many Americans who spend 6-8 hours a day sitting at a desk job.

Joint Pain and Cartilage Damage

Many runners and joggers experience foot, ankle, knee, and leg injuries-and understandably so.

Some longtime runners and/or joggers develop a condition known as chondromalacia, medically defined as a softening of the cartilage. It develops in response to the softening of the cartilage under the kneecaps (patella) that result in small areas of breakdown and pain around the knee.

Running and jogging over long periods of time, and especially on cement or asphalt, destroys cartilage in the joints. It’s the reason why many runners and joggers later suffer from stiffness in their knees. The stiffness is also attributed to a buildup of lactic acid in the muscles. Lactic acid makes you stiff, not the workout itself.

Tendonitis

Tendonitis (inflammation of the tendons) may also develop from long periods of running and jogging.

The inflammation in tendonitis results from acidic mucus buildup in the tendons. The mucus develops to protect the damage done in the tendons, but the problem with the mucus stems from people continuing to do the activity that produces more mucus. So much mucus is produced that the mucus itself becomes a problem. It also triggers inflammation.

Mucus is generated by an acid-based diet. An acid-based diet is one that consists mainly of meat products, dairy products, refined grain products, processed and refined so-called foods or foodstuffs, and low pH acidic effervescent beverages such as soda pop and diet soda pop that contain deleterious phosphoric acid which eats away at the bones and robs the body of calcium.

Other Health Issues from Running and Jogging

Some people believe that when women jog on cement or asphalt without shock absorbers in their shoes, they can injure their uterus. With every step of a run or jog, a physical shock is being sent from the feet’s metatarsal bones all the way to the uterus.

Running and jogging will undoubtedly cause loss of calcium. Many commercial health food stores such as GNC, Great Earth, Vitamin Shoppe, et al make a fortune selling synthetic grades of calcium to athletes. For calcium or any other mineral to work in your body, it must be organic, must be able to be digested by the body fully, and must be able to be absorbed and assimilated.

Nature produces two types of calcium and you must know which type the human body requires for optimal health and wellbeing. The kind of calcium humans require is called calcium phosphate, aka organic calcium.

However, some commercial health stores and supermarkets sell inorganic calcium that is indigestible and harms health and wellbeing. Most of this type of calcium is urinated right out of the body and residues remain lodged in the body trapped in the tissues of the body and also play a role in the formation of calcium deposits in the body.

Your calcium must be organic or plant-based, i.e. comfrey root and leaf, oatstraw, horsetail, and nettle. Calcium is denoted by the color green and not white. Many of the biggest brands of calcium are synthetic and have no nutritional value.

Commercial health food stores also sell chondroitin and glucosamine for bone, tendon, and ligament problems. This is a waste of money. Chondroitin is made from a cow’s trachea and glucosamine is derived from chicken bones. You may be able to find non-animal sources of these products, but they are very rare.

Runners and joggers can also harm their adrenal glands. We are designed to run to save our lives, as in fight or flight situations whereby our bodies produce extreme amounts of adrenaline to help us escape from danger. Excessive amounts of adrenaline can hurt the body, especially the heart.

Astrology and Running

People born under the astrological signs of Capricorn, Aquarius, and Pisces are very prone to problems (injuries) of the knees, legs, ankle, and feet as these particular signs govern these body parts.

  • Capricorn governs the knees and legs and thus Capricorn people (born between December 23 and January 19) are more prone to injuries of the knees and legs.
  • Aquarius governs the ankles so Aquarians or Aquarius people (born between January 20 and February 19) are more prone to problems (injuries) of the ankles.
  • Pisces governs the feet and toes so Pisceans (born between February 20 and March 19) are more prone to problems (injuries) of the feet and toes.

Natural Healing From the Damage of Running and Jogging

If you are going to run and jog, by all means make sure you run and/or jog on grass, dirt, or sand. Avoid running and/or jogging on cement or asphalt.

Refrain from running or jogging for long miles. Keep your sessions short, only a few miles. Some people run 5-10 miles daily which is insane when you know the damage being done to your body. You might even consider replacing running and/or jogging with bicycling. Bicycling is better for the knees and tendons.

If you still feel the need to run or jog as your primary form of exercise, get a pair of shock absorbers for your shoes.

Every morning, drink a glass full of room temperature water with one teaspoon of apple cider vinegar added to the water. This will greatly help your joints.

Start performing the sea salt soak as much as possible. Bathe or soak in sea salt rather than Epsom salt.

Rub warm oil (plant-based i.e. olive, almond, coconut, etc.) on your sore joints. Then massage in a few drops (3-5 drops) of essentials oil such as Wintergreen, Spearmint, Peppermint, and/or Eucalyptus.

Consider replacing strenuous exercises with subtle exercises such as yoga, Pilates, tai chi, or basic stretching.

More natural healing options include acupressure, energy healing, and chiropractic exercises.

Magnetic therapy can aid in repairing damaged feet, ankles, legs, and knees. You can purchase magnetic ankle pads and knee pads to wear daily or as needed. Magnetic therapy is great for palliating and eradicating pain as magnets increase circulation to injured areas and thus provide much needed oxygen and minerals to injured areas.
