Sweating is a natural part of life, and it is a necessary bodily function. It is the body’s way of regulating core temperature. The unfortunate reality is that with sweating comes a certain type of stink. This is where deodorant enters the equation. Everybody needs deodorant, even if some people don’t want to admit it. Deodorant is an everyday hygiene product that keeps you smelling fresh.

Interestingly enough, though, sweat isn’t the main cause of body odor. When sweat combines with the bacteria that already exist on the skin, you smell an unpleasant aroma. The body has two primary sweat glands: eccrine sweat glands and apocrine sweat glands. Eccrine glands secrete fluid onto the skin’s surface, while apocrine glands, which develop in areas with hair follicles, secrete fluid that is odorless until it mixes with bacteria on the skin. How do you stop the stench, especially with natural deodorant? Continue reading to find out.

Baking Soda

Baking soda works to absorb odors, which is why people leave an open box of baking soda in the fridge if there’s a bad smell. Due to the ability to absorb odors, baking soda has become a popular ingredient in homemade deodorants and other beauty products. The reported benefits of baking soda as a deodorant are merely anecdotal, though. One study, however, suggests that the antimicrobial benefits of baking soda may be the reason it fights off odors and bacteria in the armpits. The pros of using a homemade deodorant with baking soda is that it doesn’t contain harsh chemicals that are in most deodorants. Some of these chemicals include parabens, aluminum, artificial colors, and triclosan. Not all of these are endocrine disruptors, but some of them are.

Lemon Eucalyptus Essential Oil

The beauty of this essential oil is that it smells like a milder version of citronella. Not only does it make you smell amazing, but it may also help you repel mosquitos! That last part may not be true, by the way. You get the sweet, enchanting aroma of eucalyptus and the refreshing natural citrus scent from the lemon. It helps to leave your skin cool and fresh, and the great part is that it is gender neutral. Should you want a different scent, though, you can change the essential oil to one that you prefer.

Coconut Oil

It seems that coconut oil ends up in all sorts of DIY beauty products, and for good reason. The theory behind adding coconut oil to this DIY deodorant is that it has antibacterial properties, which may fight off odor-causing bacteria. Now, if you go to a spin class, coconut oil alone will not protect you from odor. Some experts argue that coconut oil may not be the best ingredient for homemade deodorant. The reason for this is because it is a thicker oil, which may not allow your sweat glands to breathe. Additionally, it may melt down your armpits because it has a low viscosity at body temperature.

DIY Deodorant For Summer

Ingredients:

  • 4 tablespoons coconut oil
  • 5 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 1 tablespoon and 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 20 drops lemon eucalyptus essential oil

Instructions:

  • Combine all the ingredients, except the essential oil, in a small saucepan over medium-low heat. Stir with a wooden spoon until everything is melted and well-combined.
  • Remove the saucepan from the heat source and allow it to cool off four about a minute.
  • Carefully pour the melted mixture into a glass jar and then add the essential oils. Stir with a wooden utensil to combine.
  • Allow it to cool completely until it forms a creamy consistency, and then you can screw the top of the jar on. Store in a cool, dark place and it will last for up to three months.
  • To use, scoop a pea-sized amount with your fingertip and apply under your armpit. Make sure your fingers are dry.

Some people are more prone to body odor (BO) than others. Excessive perspiration or particular foods you eat can cause an unbearable stench. Sometimes, the root cause of your BO is poor gut health, i.e. a gut that doesn’t have a healthy balance of beneficial bacteria. Whatever the cause of your stinky pits, you don’t want to be the one smelly person. Why not detox your armpits, then?

What’s Wrong With Commercial Deodorants?

Commercial deodorants, especially anti-perspirant deodorants, are replete with chemicals that can harm the nervous and endocrine systems. Those chemicals can actually cause you to sweat and stink more than a natural deodorant can. Some common ingredients that are problematic are detailed below:

  • Phthalates: These endocrine disruptors are found in plastic and can cause hormonal imbalance, or even infertility, especially in men.
  • Formaldehyde: This known carcinogen may kill germs, but it can seriously harm the body.
  • Parabens: These hormone disruptors have unfortunately been found in biopsied tissue with breast cancer.
  • Aluminum: There is some evidence that links aluminum to cancer and Alzheimer’s disease, but more research is necessary to confirm this.
  • Propylene glycol: The common name for this toxin is antifreeze. The Environmental Working Group reports that it carries a moderate risk of immunotoxicity and allergies. It is a highly controversial ingredient in personal care products.
  • Antibacterial Substances: Antibacterial substances are bad? Well, some of these substances are known endocrine disruptors and can negatively affect immune function.

Does Armpit Detoxification Work?

We’ll say this up front: there is no concrete medical or scientific evidence that supports the concept of armpit detoxing. A person’s body does not simply detox via the armpits. The liver, kidneys, lymph nodes, and spleen filter toxins that enter the body. The body then eliminates toxins via sweat, urine, and feces. The skin does not typically filter toxins, as armpit detox proponents claim.

Some ingredients that people use to detox their pits can often cause irritation or other problems. Apple cider vinegar, for example, can irritate the skin, especially if the person has dry or sensitive skin. However, there are some supporters of armpit detoxification, but they stress that you should not use a scrub if you notice a rash under the arms. Additionally, if you use the underarm scrub in this article and find that it causes irritation or burning, stop the use.

Whether or not an armpit detox works may be entirely personal. Some people swear that a regular armpit detox helps eliminate odor, even without wearing any deodorant. Other people notice that they sweat less after trying the armpit detox. All of this is completely personal and not based on scientific evidence. However, should you want to experiment with an odor removing underarm scrub, consider the recipe below.

Odor Removing Underarm Scrub

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup sea salt
  • 1 tablespoon each: lemon juice and lemon zest
  • 1 tablespoon each: melted coconut oil and honey

Instructions:

  • Mix the sugar and salt together in a large mixing bowl and then add the lemon juice and lemon zest. Mix well to combine.
  • Drizzle in the coconut oil and honey and mix well before scooping into a glass container. Make sure to store in a cool, dry place and use one to two times per week for fresh underarms and smoother skin.

It’s possible that people lost their sense of smell after contracting COVID-19. Smell training, a new therapy, may help regain that sense.

Stopping to smell the roses may be difficult if you lost your sense of smell as a result of developing COVID-19. Among the many symptoms, temporary loss of taste and smell were the most annoying, as they can negatively affect mood. To combat a prolonged loss of smell after recovering from COVID-19, many people seek out ways to cope with or safely regain this sense.

How Did Loss Of Smell Happen From COVID-19?

An olfactory loss can result from nasal allergies, sinusitis, and viral respiratory illnesses like COVID-19. When the virus enters the body, it binds to an ACE2 receptor, which is a specific protein. ACE2 receptors also exist on supporting cells within the olfactory system in the upper nose. Damaging these receptors can cause a loss of smell. Additionally, inflammation surrounding nasal tissues can impair nerve function and a person’s ability to smell.

Because smell is an integral component of life, it’s important not to neglect the loss of this sense. Without a proper sense of smell, it’s difficult to detect about 80-90% of the flavor in food. Losing the sense of smell extends beyond an ability to enjoy food and drink, though. According to July-August 2021 research, about 43% of adults who lost their sense of smell from COVID-19 reported depression. About 70-75% of people will be able to recover their sense of smell out of the blue, but the remaining 25% may not be so lucky.

What Is Smell Training?

Olfactory retraining, or smell training, is a decade-old concept that has regained interest as a possible treatment for smell loss from COVID-19. The first helpful evidence about smell therapy emerged in a 2009 preliminary study. 40 patients experiencing a loss of smell exposed themselves to four scents two times a day for 12 weeks. The scents included rose, lemon, eucalyptus and cloves. At the conclusion of the study, the participants who used smell training had better odor identification than those who did not get the therapy.

Smell training is not merely the simple act of smelling specific fragrances. One of the key factors of smell training is to focus on what the scent represents while smelling it. Not only do you retrain your nose, but you also retrain your brain to recognize smells. If you smell roses, for example, visualize what they smell like and where you would find them in the world. Essentially, visual imagery that stimulates the scent may help improve smell over time.

How Does Smell Training Work?

According to doctors, the exact biological mechanism by which smell training helps people is not entirely clear. There are, however, some possible theories. As stated earlier in this article, viral illnesses like COVID-19 can damage olfactory receptors in the sinuses. Additionally, these illnesses may damage the cells in the olfactory bulb, a collection of nerve cells on the underside of the brain. In order to regain sense of smell, you have to form new neurons and neuronal connections in the olfactory processing system.

Smell training aims to stimulate the sense of smell and assist with recovery. Using physical and psychological elements helps reteach the olfactory system. People can ultimately use memory and experience to train nerves to come back to life, and then they can smell again.

Does It Work For People Who Had COVID-19?

Although smell training and loss of smell as a result of COVID-19 is a new area of study, it may be worth a shot. A 2020 review study looked at 36 past studies about smell training for virus-related loss of smell, but not COVID-19 specifically. The authors found that smell training could be useful at regaining smell. Additionally, a small preliminary study published in January 2021 looked at 27 people who had persistent smell loss for about five weeks post COVID-19 diagnosis.

Out of those 27 people, nine were given 10 days of oral corticosteroids and olfactory training. The remaining 18 participants only received olfactory training. Some people from the olfactory-training-only group experienced improvements in sense of smell 10 weeks later. Those who receive smell training alongside the corticosteroids saw a significant improvement in smell. More research is still necessary, as this is a relatively new area of study. Only time will tell how smell therapy benefits COVID-19 patients with prolonged loss of smell.

People love to smell good and not everyone cares about the quality of the product they use to achieve that goal. Walking around and leaving a trail of enchantment can come with a cost, especially if you use synthetic perfumes or sprays. How can a few spritzes of perfume be damaging to your health? Please allow us to explain.

The Problem With Synthetic Fragrances

No matter the person’s age or health, synthetic fragrances pose several dangers. According to the National Academy of Sciences, roughly 95% of all synthetic fragrances are derived from petroleum. They contain toluene, benzene derivatives, and other carcinogenic chemicals that increase the risk of birth defects, allergic reactions, and cancer. Some of these chemicals can even cause damage to the central nervous system and endocrine system.

It can be hard to pinpoint exactly which fragrances to avoid, since there are over 3,000 ingredients that pose health risks. The words “fragrance” or “parfum” on an ingredient label are legal ways to hide mysterious chemical ingredients. These blanket words can hide an unidentified mixture of ingredients that contain allergens, environmental toxins, neurotoxic chemicals, and endocrine disruptors. This is true for perfumes, shampoos, air fresheners, deodorants, plug-ins, sunscreens, and soaps.

Creating Your Own Body Spray

Creating your own spray or perfume is a very simple process, but it may require some experimentation. Ultimately, essential oil blends can change over time. Sometimes, the scents can be quite overpowering, so you have to learn how much of each oil to include. One thing to note is that patchouli oil is very overpowering and can scare off some people, so don’t go crazy with that oil.

Homemade perfumes or sprays made with essential oils are much better for your health and the environment. The fact that a homemade spray is easy to make is also an incredible selling point. Plus, all you have to do is purchase essential oils you enjoy and you can keep experimenting with new combinations every batch you make. Just keep in mind that DIY essential oil scents may not last as long as the chemical perfume fragrances you are used to. While you won’t have to worry about endocrine system disruption or potential headaches, you may have to apply the spray more frequently.

How To Make Your Own Body Spray

As a general rule of thumb, you should keep any liquid mixture containing essential oils in an amber glass bottle. The recipe below also calls for witch hazel with the optional addition of vegetable glycerin. Now, it can be beneficial to add the vegetable glycerin because it helps the scent last longer. In case you need a little inspiration about which essential oils to use and how much you need, there are several recipes below. Pick your scent or create your own. The possibilities are endless!

Citrus Body Spray

Ingredients:

  • 10 drops tangerine essential oil

When you first dive into the world of DIY health and beauty, you start slow with easy recipes so that you aren’t overwhelmed. The typical DIY beauty products are body butters, mouthwashes, scalp rinses, or hand soaps, but people rarely make their own deodorants. Honestly, though, DIY herbal deodorants are very easy to make, they keep the stench away, and they are more beneficial and safer for your skin than regular deodorants.

Sweating Is Natural, But You Don’t Have To Stink

Delivering a presentation to your staff, sitting on a crowded bus, or doing some planks and squats can all make your underarms perspire. To prevent a foul stench and a lot of sweat, people use antiperspirants that are designed to tame odors and moisture. Unfortunately, these products contain aluminum-based salts that plug up sweat glands. Maybe that sounds great to you, but a 2016 study found that these antiperspirants compromise the skin’s ecosystem, creating intense bacteria that can produce body odor.

Building A Deodorant That Compliments You Chemistry

Similar to your gut, your skin also contains beneficial bacteria and bad bacteria. Antiperspirants can introduce new bacteria that are smellier than the ones that existed before. To build a better pit microbiome, shall we say, it is wise to avoid synthetic and artificial ingredients. Many ingredients that are commonly in natural deodorants include:

  • Essential oils (lavender, sandalwood, bergamot, and sage are very common)
  • Coconut oil and tea tree oil (both contain antibacterial properties)
  • Baking soda, cornstarch, or arrowroot powder (all contain absorbent properties)

DIY Deodorant

Ingredients For The Infused Oil:

  • dried lavender
  • dried sage leaf
  • ¼ cup coconut oil
  • sweet almond oil to fill jar

Instructions For The Infused Oil:

  • Fill a half pint Mason jar 2/3 full with equal parts dried lavender and sage leaf.
  • Melt ¼ cup of coconut oil in a saucepan over low heat. Once it is melted, pour it into the jar with the herbs.
  • Fill the remainder of the jar with sweet almond oil. Let this sit in a cool, dark place for about 2-6 weeks. Strain out the herbal material through a fine mesh sieve once it is ready to use.

Ingredients For Deodorant:

  • ½ cup infused oil
  • 2 ounces beeswax
  • 1 ounce Shea butter
  • 10 drops lavender essential oil
  • 10 drops sage essential oil
  • 10 drops sweet orange essential oil
  • 2 tablespoons arrowroot powder
  • 2 teaspoons baking soda

Instructions For Deodorant:

  • Put the infused oil and beeswax into the top part of a double boiler. Stir until the beeswax melts. If you don’t have a double boiler, you can place a heat-safe glass bowl over a small saucepan of simmering water.
  • Once the beeswax melts, add the Shea butter and stir until dissolved.
  • Remove the mixture from the bowl or double boiler and mix in the essential oils. Slowly add the arrowroot powder and baking soda, stirring until the mixture has thickened and is well combined.
  • Pour the mixture into empty deodorant containers or half circle silicone molds. Let the deodorant sit for a few hours to harden before using.

Everyone sweats and produces an unpleasant smell that we have come to know as body odor, also known as bromhidrosis.  It is a distinctive, usually stinky, scent that occurs when a person sweats. Body odor can be the result of too much sweating, and a person can even be unaware of his/her body odor. This can be a sign of poor hygiene, but could also be related to a more serious issue. Body odor is more common in men than women and children usually don’t develop body odor until puberty. This is because the hormones stimulate the child’s sweat glands and oils under the armpits and genital region.

Eccrine Glands

These are found all over the body and produce a salt solution when the body increases its temperature. This is normally odorless sweat, but it can start to smell if bacteria break down this sweat. It can also start to smell after consuming certain foods, alcohol, or medications.

Apocrine Glands

These glands are typically found in the armpits, breasts, or genital region. They produce a thicker sweat that contains a “personal scent.” At first, apocrine sweat is odorless, but bacteria that live on the skin break it down within an hour to produce an offensive odor. If you produce more apocrine sweat or have more bacteria on the skin, the scent will be more potent.

Symptoms of Body Odor

Some people sweat more and others sweat less, and certain people smell and others don’t. This is mostly attributed to how efficiently people digest foods. Symptoms of body odor can be:

  • Night Sweats
  • Unpleasant scent (usually all the time)
  • Unexplained or Excessive Sweating
  • Cold Hands
  • Weight Loss

Causes of Body Odor

Sweat itself is essentially odorless to people. Body odor is caused by bacteria on the skin breaking down sweat into acids. The genitals and armpits tend to smell worse because those sweat glands produce oils and proteins, which bacteria feed on. Certain people inherit a tendency to sweat more than others and sweat on their hands and feet, in addition to their armpits and genital region. People with poor eating habits tend to smell worse because the body cannot efficiently break down foods like meat, fish, eggs, dairy, wheat, or processed foods. Some common causes include:

  • Poor Hygiene
  • Unhealthy Diet
  • Genetics
  • Hormonal Changes
  • Medication (a side effect may include excessive sweating)
  • Bacteria
  • Poor Digestion

Natural Remedies

Maintain Personal Hygiene

One of the best ways to treat body odor is to maintain good personal hygiene. Washing regularly, wearing clean clothes, and changing sheets frequently can curb the foul smells of body odor.

Stay Hydrated

Drinking the right amount of water can make a difference in the way one smells. It’s suggested to consume eight 8oz. glasses of water each day to stay properly hydrated. A great way to remember how much water to drink is to halve your body weight and drink it in ounces of water per day. This means that if you weigh 150lbs, your water intake should be 75oz. daily.

Make A Dietary Change

Making a change in your diet can also improve the way you smell. If you eat processed foods, fried foods, alcohol, genetically engineered foods, sugar, meat, dairy products, and salt, then you will be sweating these toxins out, making your sweat more desirable to bacteria. Eating raw vegetables and fruit, raw nuts and seeds, and whole oats like barley or buckwheat can help improve digestion, ultimately helping to improve body odor.

Don’t Do Dairy

Roughly 30 million Americans are lactose intolerant and a lot of people cannot properly digest dairy products. A lot of people can’t break down tyrosinemia, an amino acid in dairy, meat, fish, eggs, and wheat, and that can cause the body to smell like boiled cabbage. In addition to contributing to body odor, consuming lactose can also increase your risk of diabetes.

Improve Digestion

Poor digestion is commonly the cause of body odor. Consuming foods high in probiotics can help the digestive system function smoothly and improve overall body odor. Apple cider vinegar and water can be a great digestive aid. Try to mix one or two tablespoons of raw apple cider vinegar in one cup of alkaline water and drink that about 30 minutes before you eat a meal.

Decrease Stress

If you are stressed out you can emit some strong odors. Stress hormones contain lipids and proteins that bacteria, which naturally exist on your skin, love to feed on. The bacteria then produce a smelly waste and you end up not smelling that great. To help decrease your stress, it is beneficial to try yoga, meditation, breathing exercises, Tai Chi, acupuncture, or massage therapy.

Wear Loose Clothing

A lot of people like to wear clothes that are made of spandex, leather, or other non-cotton materials. These materials make it difficult for your pores to breathe, trapping the sweat against the skin. Let your skin breath a little with some soft cotton clothes and that may help you smell better.

A lot of people use chemically-rich hygiene products that the skin ultimately absorbs. If we are solely referring to deodorants, roll-ons, or perfumes, they can clog pores and can actually build up on your skin. Nobody wants to smell bad, but you don’t have to poison your body to smell good.

Some people just don’t want to change their deodorant, even though they know it is bad. Aside from making your armpits smell good, you need to give them some healthy attention too. Because the sebaceous glands in the armpits are always active, they are constantly producing sweat; thus body odor. If you don’t detox your underarms, you can develop more prominent body odor or dark underarms.

Causes of Dark Underarms

Some people have dark underarms and others never have to worry about this problem. Dead skin cells, chemical build-up, excessive sweating, excessive deodorant use, and friction from rough fabric are all possible causes of dark underarms.

To help detox your underarms and naturally whiten them, we recommend using the following DIY remedy.

Ingredients:

  • 2 tablespoons activated charcoal powder
  • 2 tablespoons organic raw honey

Instructions:

  • Combine the charcoal and honey in a bowl and stir well. Mix until you get a shiny paste.
  • Wash your underarms and pat them dry before applying the charcoal honey mixture. Apply to each underarm and let it sit for 15 minutes.
  • Rinse the mixture off with warm water and then pat dry. Do this process three times a week for about a month to sufficiently detox and whiten your armpits.

Plus, most beauty supplies contain chemicals that can impair the way your body eliminates toxins. Start saving money, caring for your body, and try out these baking soda beauty hacks.

Healthy Hair

Rather than going to the store to buy a bunch of hair care products, you can get one bottle of natural shampoo. Mix 1 teaspoon of baking powder in your usual handful of shampoo to remove dandruff and build up. Or you can sprinkle some on your head and brush it in like a dry shampoo. Don’t do this more than once a day.

Polish Jewelry

This is a pretty amazing life hack. Any woman knows that jewelry can fade or get discolored. All you need is a piece of aluminum foil, a pinch of salt, 1 tablespoon baking soda, ½ cup boiling water, and ½ cup white vinegar. Place the foil on the bottom of the bowl and pour the rest of the ingredients in. Mix the solution and let your silver sit in there for 5 minutes. Remove it and dry it with a soft cloth. Only use silver. Don’t put other metals in this solution.

Great For Exfoliating

If you need to exfoliate dry skin, look no further than baking soda. Mix 3 parts baking soda with 1 part water and massage on dry or rough areas, like your elbows, hands, feet, or knees. Do not put this on cracked heels because it can be too strong in those sensitive cracks.

Teeth Whitener

Now don’t go and sprinkle baking soda on your teeth because that can be too harsh. Your teeth and gums are delicate and you need to treat them as such. Baking soda is actually a key ingredient in many whitening toothpastes, so making your own toothpaste is very easy and healthy. We got the source so let’s whiten our teeth. Mash a strawberry with a little bit of baking soda to make a paste. Brush with this paste for a couple minutes and then rinse thoroughly. Don’t do this more than 3 times a month.

Keep Your Towels Fresh

When you get out of the shower you don’t want the towel you use to smell moldy or gross. Here’s a trick to keep those towels smelling fresh and lovely, just like you. Wash your towels with ½ cup of baking soda on a hot water cycle. This makes them fluffy and gets rid of any bad odors.

A Great Natural Deodorant

Baking soda is a great ingredient to naturally reduce body odor. Making your own deodorant is much healthier than using deodorants with all sorts of chemicals. You can make your own deodorant by combining 6 tablespoons of organic coconut oil, ¼ cup of baking soda, ¼ cup arrowroot, and drops of your favorite essential oils. Store this in a container and use as necessary.

Healthy Facial Mask

When you apply this mask to your face, you can improve the clarity of your skin. If you have acne, this mask can help fight oils and bacteria on your skin. All you have to do is mix 1 tablespoon of raw honey, 2 teaspoons of water, 4 tablespoons of baking soda, and a few drops of fresh lime juice. Apply this to your face and leave it for 15 minutes before rinsing it off with lukewarm water.

Even if you new to the world of essential oils, you have probably heard of or even used tea tree oil. Similar to eucalyptus, tea tree oil has been used as an herbal remedy for hundreds of years. The oil you get in little bottles is actually extracted via steam distillation of the twigs and leaves of the tea tree plant. It takes roughly 1,000 pounds of the plant to yield 10-15 pounds of essential oil.

The tea tree is native to Australia, but tea tree essential oil has reached people all around the world. It’s important to know that the tea tree was known as the melaleuca tree. Captain Cook, upon getting sick in Australia, was given a tea of melaleuca leaves, and so he dubbed it the “tea tree.”

Tea tree oil is typically used as a topical remedy, helping to heal cuts, wounds, or infected areas on the skin. People also used to inhale the vapors of tree leaves in boiling water to help remedy respiratory illnesses. Many cultures have also brewed tea from the leaves in order to help get rid of cold or flu viruses. Below are some of the reasons why tea tree oil is always good to have around the house.

Cicatrisant

We figured that we should start out with a unique property of tea tree oil. The cicatrisant property helps open wounds heal quickly and prevents them from getting infected. It is also great to rub on scars that are the result of skin blemishes.

Insecticide

Since tea tree oil helps to fight bacteria and viruses, it makes a great insect repellent. There are properties in the oil that steer insects like mosquitos, flies, lice, or fleas away from you. Tea tree oil can also help rid the body of intestinal worms (roundworms, tapeworms, or hook worms) because the body absorbs the bacteria fighting properties of tea tree oil.

Anti-Inflammatory

Tea tree oil has a variety of anti-inflammatory properties, helping it to boost your immune system. Certain studies have even discovered that tea tree oil can stimulate the production of a specific white blood cell, which plays a role in destroying cancer cells, microbes, and bacteria.

Anti-Viral

Many people who get the chickenpox or cold sores often use tea tree oil as a topical remedy to sooth the itching or pain. The anti-viral properties also help to fight against influenza, for example, the H1N1 virus.

Hair Care

If you have dandruff or are experiencing hair loss, tea tree oil contains a stimulant property that can help improve the health of your scalp. This property increases blood flow in your scalp, which helps to strengthen your hair follicles and keep them healthy.

Acne Control

Skin conditions such as acne, psoriasis, or eczema are extremely common. When the oil glands on your skin are unregulated, the skin’s surface can suffer from accumulated bacteria. Using tea tree oil can help get rid of bacteria, which in turn promotes healthier looking skin.

Improved Hygiene

Tea tree oil is commonly used in the composition of deodorants because it has a powerful and pleasant scent. Since it can help eliminate body odor by attacking the bacteria and toxins, it can help to improve your overall hygiene, especially in places that are hot and humid.
