Pinworms
Pinworms are one of the most common human intestinal worm infections, where Pinworms infect the intestines and lay eggs around the anus. Growing no more than a half inch long, Pinworms are easily spread in close groups and common in children between the ages of 5 and 10. Since Pinworms are highly contagious, it is recommended that the entire household get treated for the infection to avoid recurrence. You may notice Pinworms in your feces, in which case you should take action by cleansing your system and the house.
Symptoms will vary depending on the amount of adult Pinworms in a person's system. Symptoms may not be that prevalent in mild cases, but can be more noticeable if the infection is more severe. The most common symptoms a person will experience can include:
- Anal itching
- Restless sleep because of intense itching
- Pain, rash, or irritated skin around the anus
- Mild nausea
- Some abdominal pain
- Vaginal itching (in females)
- Pinworms in stools
- Pinworms around the anus
Poor hygiene is the primary cause for Pinworm infections, but one can contract the infection by coming in contact with another infected person. At night, Pinworms come out and lay eggs around the anus and upon hatching, the worms crawl back inside the anus. If scratching occurs during sleep, Pinworms are small enough to get lodged under the fingernails and can spread to whatever the person touches. That means that if someone touches a contaminated person and then touches his/her mouth, the Pinworms will enter the body. Pinworms are even light enough to become airborne, which means people can inhale them. Common causes include:
- Coming in contact with an infected person
- Sharing clothing, bed sheets, or towels with an infected person
- Poor hygiene
- Living in an old folk's home
- Eating unsanitary food

While it is an all natural pesticide, diatomaceous earth is one of the best anti-parasitic remedies. When you buy diatomaceous earth, it is important to buy food grade as the industrial grade is chemically treated and used in swimming pool filters. It kills insects, parasites, or Pinworms by dehydrating them. If you mix one tablespoon of diatomaceous earth with water and drink it for seven days straight, it should effectively kill the living parasites in your body. The amount of the diatomaceous earth needs to be altered if using it for children. For example, a 4-foot tall child should take 2 teaspoons, while a 2-foot tall child should only take 1 teaspoon. While using diatomaceous earth is it important to stay hydrated, as the the earth naturally dehydrates the body.

If you aren’t going to use diatomaceous earth, using a combination of woodworm, black walnut hulls, and cloves is another way to efficiently cleanse the body of Pinworms. Add thyme and burdock to this regimen and you should be able to effectively flush out the parasites. If finding these items proves difficult, you can use the Worm Out formula, which is a natural parasite cleanser that contains all of them. You can also participate in our Parasite and Worm Cleanse to rid the Pinworms from your system.

You may consider participating in a liver cleanse or detox. If the liver isn’t functioning optimally, the bile flow will be reduced. When the liver is cleansed, be it with a cleanse, dandelion root tea, beets, or other alternatives, bile flow will be improved and thusly attack living parasites. And Pinworms hate bile!

It is important to bathe every morning and night when you have a Pinworm infection. Washing the anal and vaginal area is crucial because this is where adult female Pinworms lay eggs. In addition to frequent bathing, be sure to regularly change underwear, pajamas, bed sheets, and avoid sharing clothing items, towels, or bed sheets with anyone. It is also a good idea to keep your living space clean because Pinworms can live in a dirty environment.

It’s a good idea to refrain from eating meat, pork, poultry, fish, seafood, and shellfish because they can contain parasitic eggs and cysts. Additionally, get rid of food allergens, as Pinworms and parasites thrive on them. Continued consumption of soy, wheat, eggs, and dairy can lead to parasites having a long-term home that is your body. It’s also a good idea to consume raw garlic and onions as they provide the body with sulfur, which contains amino acids that are anti-parasitic. If you don’t want to eat them raw, you can juice them with leafy greens and lemons.
-
Eating raw, shredded carrots before and after sleep can help eradicate the Pinworms from the intestines. If a child has a Pinworm infection and doesn't like eating carrots, try to mix a bit of raw honey with the carrots to improve the taste.

Drinking raw, unfiltered apple cider with water can make your body an inhospitable environment for Pinworms. Mix 2 teaspoons in a glass of distilled or alkaline water and drink it once or twice a day. The acidity of apple cider vinegar helps eliminate the Pinworms from your system.
