Raw Dehydrated Yam Burger
  • Prep Time:10m
  • Cook Time:3h
  • Total Time:3h 10m

Ingredients

  • 1 large yam
  • 2/3 c brown onion
  • 1 red bell pepper
  • 4 dates
  • 5 tbsp. ground flax seeds
  • 4 tbsp. nutritional yeast
  • 4 large mushrooms
  • 4 garlic cloves
  • sea salt, pepper, cumin, coriander, cinnamon, basil, turmeric, paprika (to taste)

Instructions

  1. Cut up all of the veggies into pieces that are easily blended. Place them in the blender or food processor, along with the rest of the ingredients, and pulse until everything becomes a thick, wet-ish mixture, but don't pulse too long. You want pieces of the different ingredients to still be visible.
  2. Adjust according to taste if you feel that it needs more seasoning.
  3. Form the mixture into patties and dehydrate at 115 degrees F for 3-4 hours. You could eat them right away if you like, but they won't hold their shape too well. It's better to let them sit for about a half hour.
