Besides the 1/4 cup of grade A maple syrup, this agua fresca is naturally sweetened with the natural sugars from the fruit. Because the pineapple, mango, and orange offer both sweet and tart flavors, you get the perfect balance of tart and sweet in this drink. The lemon helps to wake up the rest of the ingredients, while providing a nice balance to the very sweet maple syrup. Should you think that this agua fresca requires more sweetness, feel free to add a little more maple syrup.
If you find that the flavor is very intense, you can always add more water to the mixture. Additionally, if you want to double the recipe and add this to a large dispenser for a party, you have that option available. Just make sure to add is to to chill the agua fresca. Ingredients
- 1/2 pineapple, cubed
- 1 mango, peeled and cubed
- 1 orange, peeled
- 1 lemon, juiced
- 1/4 c grade A maple syrup (or more to taste)
- 32 oz filtered water
Instructions
- Add all of the ingredients to a large blender and blend until smooth. Taste and adjust sweetness level if necessary by adding a little more maple syrup.
- Pour over ice and enjoy immediately. Alternatively, pour the liquid into a pitcher with ice and place in the fridge until ready to serve.
