Homemade almond milk is a thing of pure beauty. Not only is the taste divine, but it is also much healthier than store bought almond milk. There are a few reputable brands out there that sell quality products, but most store bought almond milks contain emulsifiers, thickening agents, and added sugars. That is not the case with homemade almond milk, especially not this lavender blueberry almond milk. It pairs the floral essence of lavender with the sweet tartness of blueberries. What’s not to like about this beautiful creation? The color alone is enchanting!

Just like making a smoothie, all you need to do is add the ingredients to a blender and blend until smooth. Once you do that step, pour the blended mixture through a cheesecloth, fine mesh sieve, or nut milk bag, pressing the nut pulp to get out as much liquid as possible. If you plan on making your own nut milks in the future, we recommend that you invest in a nut milk bag. Not only is it much easier to use than cheesecloth, but it is also reusable and sustainable.

When it comes to acquiring lavender, you can pick fresh lavender from your garden or neighborhood. You just need the purple flowers, not the thick stem. If you can’t find fresh lavender, you can use dried lavender, but use about half the amount because dried lavender is a bit stronger and has a more pronounced, floral flavor. Happy blending!
