And yes, before you start wondering, even the “healthy” ones are not that great. Fat-free dressings don’t do your heart any favors because they contain excess sodium. This dressing, however, is full of nourishing, flavorful ingredients that come together in the best way possible.
This lemon vinaigrette hits the primary pillars of flavor. You have bright acidity from the fresh lemon juice, sweetness from maple syrup, and a little kick from the mustard powder. The aromatics also entice your palate, and that’s why you keep coming back bite after bite. Plus, the red pepper flakes add a touch of heat, which is beautifully balanced by the nutty tahini.
The great thing about this dressing is that you don’t need a blender. You simply pour all of the ingredients into a jar, screw on the lid, and give it a good shake. Alternatively, you can add all of the ingredients to a bowl and whisk until smooth. Then you have to taste and adjust the seasonings as needed. We can almost guarantee that you will not need to adjust anything, as this dressing balances flavors quite nicely.

- 2 tbsp. raw tahini
- 1 tsp. grade A maple syrup
- 2 tbsp. raw apple cider vinegar
- 1 small lemon, juiced
- 1 tsp. dried oregano
- 1/4 tsp. mustard powder
- 1/4 tsp. red pepper flakes
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1/4 tsp. sea salt
- 1/2 tsp. black pepper
- 1 tbsp. filtered water (to thin)
Instructions
- Add all of the ingredients to a glass jar, screw on the lid, and shake well to combine.
- Alternatively, add all of the ingredients to a bowl and whisk to combine.
- Store dressing in an airtight glass jar in the fridge for up to one week.
