Just the other day, we posted about the benefits of baking soda (sodium bicarbonate) – and now we have another to add to the list.
A new study has found that baking soda is capable of drawing uranium out of the body of rats. Just as the powder draws bad smells from your fridge, it seems that it might also draw bad toxins from the body.
This, of course, comes with the standard scientific research caveat – the study was small and conducted on animals, which means that while these results are promising, they are not the last word on whether Baking Soda will save you from the next Hiroshima.
Still, drinking a tablespoon or two in a little water before bed or adding some to your morning smoothie could help draw not only uranium, but other toxins from the body as well. A great idea for those on the hunt for ongoing detoxes.
