The health benefits of spirulina are far reaching, but did you ever consider making an exfoliating mask with it? Spirulina is one of the best superfoods out there. You may know it as “that green stuff,” which can come in powder or pill form. It is an excellent source of chlorophyll and antioxidants, which help to power your cells and keep your skin healthy and hydrated.
What Is Spirulina?
One of the oldest life forms on the planet, spirulina is a blue-green microalgae that helps to produce oxygen, which is in the planet’s atmosphere. Spirulina is one of the most nutrient-rich foods on the planet, being about 70% protein and containing eight essential and ten non-essential amino acids. It also contains iron, calcium, phosphorus, vitamin B12, chlorophyll, and more. Helping to improve digestion and support kidney and liver function, spirulina is something everyone should have.
