There is no such thing as failure or being a failure.
To fail only means to achieve a result you did not desire; but nevertheless, so-called failure gives us beneficial information; information we can use to arrive at the result or goal we desire.
Indeed, there are many positive aspects to failure. It is always a learning experience – you now have a better idea of what does and does not work for you. It makes you appreciate the times when you get it right. Success and triumph are that much sweeter when we experience them after failure. So failure also gives us a more balanced perspective.
When you achieve a so-called failure, you have obtained information that simply states you need to do more work, dig deeper, work harder and/or smarter, apply more effort, and have more faith!
So-called failure can lead to success for those who have strong will, courage, mental tenacity, faith, patience, and who can persevere; and more importantly, who believe in themselves!
When you “fail” an exam, it only means you need to study more diligently, apply yourself more, or consider alternate learning strategies. Approach the teacher privately later and go over your test together; make sure you understand what you did incorrectly. Learn from your mistakes so that you will not make them again. Your teacher will be impressed by your positive attitude and determination to do better in the future.
When you “fail” in a relationship or marriage, it means you are missing some parts to the puzzle or big picture. Yet you gained vital information about yourself (such as how you relate to another person in a committed relationship) that you can improve upon and apply in your next relationship. Every relationship is a steppingstone, a valuable learning experience and lesson. Many relationships end so new (and better) ones can begin.
Even if the failure of the relationship taught you that you were deficient in some other area of your life, this still provides you with much needed information that allows you to correct the deficiency and improve yourself.
We all have room for improvement. It is also important to keep in mind that we can never improve another person, only ourselves. It is much easier to try to improve yourself than unwisely inflict changes upon other people, especially if you think it’s for their benefit. The other person may resent such an intrusion, and you may also be biased or flawed in what you want.
The only thing that can conquer failure is another attempt. Too many people get discouraged and give up. Do not let yourself fall into that mindset. Always put forth an effort and do the best you can do. Always! Never quit or give up! Never! Stay focused and keep your eyes on the prize.
Look for the good in every situation and your life will be a smooth ride. You’ll go through adversity because that’s a part of life, but you’ll go through the adversity faster and emerge with greater satisfaction in the end. The greater the difficulty or adversity; the greater the triumph.
It will be difficult, and you may be discouraged at times. When that happens, take a look at these inspirational and motivational quotes that will keep you going!
