What is: Raw Foods?

What is: Raw Foods?

There are many people who don’t know what raw foods are or what constitutes raw food. In fact, many people don’t know what to eat in order to sustain their health and well being.

People in the Western world eat too much meat, dairy and refined grains and starches. They also consume too many harmful synthetic chemicals hidden flavor enhancers, hormones, sweeteners, additives, and preservatives.

The word “raw” means uncooked or existing in its natural condition.

Deriving from the Greek word “kreas”, the word raw also means that the food is not prepared with heat. Therefore, a raw food is not processed, manufactured, adjusted, treated, or refined. If you are consuming a raw food, you are digesting it in its natural state. In order to obtain the most nutrients from your food, you should eat them raw.

Alkalinity counteracts acidity and the greatest alkalizing foods on the planet are fruits, vegetables, sea vegetable, and some nuts, seeds, and grains. When eaten raw, these foods greatly nourish and build the tissues of the body.

Meat-Eaters

Surprisingly, meat eaters don’t subscribe to the eating of all dead animals. They have been conditioned to eat certain animals. In the U.S., meat-eaters enjoy eating the meat of cows, sheep, pigs, chicken, turkey, fish, shrimp, lobster, and crab. Some will also eat the dead flesh of rabbit, squirrel, possum, buffalo, and ostrich.

Some meat eaters even consume the flesh of these creatures including their intestines, tongue, stomach, brain, back end, and neck. However, these same people will not dare to touch the flesh of dead rats, hamsters, dogs, cats, snakes, lizards, or turtles. Why? Because they have not been conditioned to favor some animals over others.

The Truth About Protein

The meat-eaters’ number one reason for consuming animal meat is for protein, but most meat-eaters do not know where the protein comes from.

Protein is comprised of 22 amino acids. There is no single body part or gland of any organism contains all 22 amino acids, so the rest must be ingested through diet.

For protein from an animal source, the animal must be freshly killed and eaten down to the bone. This is what you see in the wild of nature. Animals in the wild don’t cook their meat before eating it. They don’t refine, manufacture, dilute, or process their meat; they kill the animal and then eat it immediately. Now that’s a true carnivore that functions according to the biological law of carnivorism.

Humans remove the benefit of animal protein by cooking meat, and refining it with harmful chemicals such as sodium nitrate, synthetic growth hormones, and antibiotics.

If the meat is uncooked and eaten entirely, it can provide essential body nutrients. However, this is only true for true carnivores. However, if the meat is cooked, the entire molecular structure is changed or altered, removing any beneficial protein.

Fruits and Vegetables

As humans, our true food is derived from plants. We are frugavores or fruitarians by nature. Our true food grows on plants and trees.

The flesh of fruit, vegetables, seeds, and some nuts and grains are materials that contain serious nutrients such as minerals, trace elements, vitamins, B-vitamins, and amino acids. These nutrients can be assimilated 100% by the human digestive track and can maintain life and growth.

Did you know that the word “vegetable” derives from the word “vegetate,” which means “growth”? Eating vegetables sustains and supports growth. When you consume vegetables, you are supplying your body with beneficial nutrients that improve your overall health.

The word “enzyme” is actually synonymous with the word “life force?” Only raw fruits, vegetables, seeds, nuts, and grains contain enzymes. They are most beneficial in their raw state, which means their “natural,” “unrefined,” and “undiluted” state.

Cooked and Dehydrated Foods Remove Nutrients

When you add heat, the molecular structure of the food is changed and it evolves from its natural state to a refined, processed, and manufactured state. Cooking destroys the vital nutrients and enzymes that is found in the raw state of a food.

The protease or protein-digesting enzyme in the human body is designed to strictly digest the proteins from plant sources, not animal sources.

If your food is processed, diluted, refined, or heated, it is not considered a raw food.

Even though dried fruit and/or food that have been dehydrated, they are technically processed, it can be eaten during a detox. Dehydrated foods simply lack water so that it can be preserved for a longer period of time. Also, a dehydrator heats food under 118 degrees so the enzymes are not killed or destroyed.

Preparing for a Raw Food Diet

If you’re wanting the full benefit of a raw food diet, ask yourself these questions to make sure that you are making appropriate decisions:

  • Has the food been cooked?
  • Was heat applied to the food?
  • Has the food been manufactured?
  • Was the food processed?
  • Is the food alive?
  • If I cut the food in half, will it still grow?
  • If I heat the food up in the stove, oven, or microwave oven will it still grow?

Raw Foods and Dherb Solutions

During the 20-day Full Body Cleanse it is recommended that you only consume raw foods for the duration of 20 days. Simply eating too much of the wrong foods have created the need for people to detoxify their bodies. Many people are unknowingly harming their bodies with nutrient deficient foods.

Technically, dried fruits, nuts, seeds, and anything else that has not had oil and/or salt added to it or has been refined. These foods can also be eaten during the Full Body Detox or any of the other Dherbs.Com cleanses such as the Anti-Viral Cleanse and Regimen, Weight Release Cleanse & Regimen and Pancreas Cleanse.
