If you have been a little more lenient than usual with your diet, you may want to consider cleaning out your digestive system. Maybe you overindulged over the weekend or maybe you just need a little help flushing out excess waste. This may not be the first time you feel this way, but we hope it is the last; and we’ve got just the recipe to help you out.
Feeling sluggish or fatigued can be a sign of an ill-functioning digestive system. It is most always a diet-related issue, primarily caused by the hard-to-digest foods that are in the Standard American Diet. Luckily, there are natural ingredients that work to flush out whatever has built up in the digestive tract.
According to Ayurveda practices, one of the best ways to stimulate the digestive process is to do so before you eat your meal. It has been documented that eating a fresh slice of ginger root with a few drops of lemon juice before a meal helps to activate the digestive system. Once this happens, it is best to drink a glass of filtered, room temperature water. If you do suffer from digestive issues, sipping room temperature liquids during the meal may be beneficial.
