Easy Chia Pudding Prep For Healthy Breakfasts

How do you spend your mornings? Are you running around the house yelling at your children to get ready for school? Are you scrambling to get your life together, brushing your teeth while you get dressed? Mornings aren’t easy for everyone and the frantic nature of getting it together before you leave the house can lead to unhealthy eating habits. Rather than stopping at a fast food restaurant on the way to work, making toaster pastries, or warming up frozen breakfast sandwiches, you could have prepped breakfasts that are easy to grab and go.

What Is Chia Pudding?

Chia pudding is comparable to tapioca, texturally speaking, and it can be flavored however you desire. When chia seeds soak in liquid, they expand and create a pudding-like consistency. The best part about chia pudding is that no cooking is required. You simply shake up all of the ingredients in a jar or container and place it in the fridge overnight.

Can You Make Chia Pudding In The Blender?

While the old shake it up in a jar method works just fine, you can opt to blend all of the chia pudding ingredients together in a blender. When you blend the ingredients, the chia pudding will be creamier and it will set much faster. It’ll be ready to eat in about thirty minutes instead of six hours. This is just an optional preparation method to consider if you aren’t a fan of the tapioca-like texture.

How Do You Prep?

Consider purchasing about 12-15 eight-ounce glass jars for five different recipes. You will triple each recipe, add it to a blender or large mixing bowl, and then evenly divide that recipe in three separate jars. These make for great breakfasts or snacks for you or the kids. The chia puddings will keep fresh in the fridge for about one week. You don’t have to triple all of the recipes; rather, you could make one serving of each so you have one jar of chia pudding every morning. We recommend sticking with one liquid to make your life much easier.

Ingredients

For Vanilla Chia Pudding:

  • ½ cup organic unsweetened almond milk
  • 2 Tbsp. chia seeds
  • 1-2 tsp. raw agave syrup or 100% pure maple syrup
  • 1 tsp alcohol-free vanilla extract

For Chocolate Pudding:

  • ½ cup organic unsweetened almond milk
  • 2 Tbsp. chia seeds
  • 1-2 tsp. raw agave syrup or 100% pure maple syrup
  • 1 Tbsp. raw cacao powder
  • 1 extra tsp. raw agave syrup

For Berry Pudding:

  • ½ cup organic unsweetened almond milk
  • 2 Tbsp. chia seeds
  • 1-2 tsp. raw agave syrup or 100% pure maple syrup
  • 3 Tbsp. mixed berries

For Peanut Butter Pudding:

  • ½ cup organic unsweetened almond milk
  • 2 Tbsp. chia seeds
  • 1-2 tsp. raw agave syrup or 100% pure maple syrup
  • 1-2 Tbsp. organic peanut butter

For Chocolate Peanut Butter Pudding:

  • ½ cup organic unsweetened almond milk
  • 2 Tbsp. chia seeds
  • 1-2 tsp. raw agave syrup or 100% pure maple syrup
  • 1 Tbsp. raw cacao powder
  • 1 Tbsp. organic peanut butter
  • 1 extra tsp. raw agave syrup

Instructions

To Make 1 Serving:

  • Add all of the ingredients to a jar, shake it all up, and place in the fridge overnight.
  • Remove from the fridge in the morning and enjoy.

To Make A Large Batch:

  • Triple the recipe for one flavor and add all of the ingredients to a large mixing bowl or blender. Mix or blend together and evenly divide the mixture into separate jars.
  • Place in the fridge overnight and remove when ready to consume.
