Avocados: Time To Welcome Back This Awesome Healthy Fat

Avocados are back in season, baby! Some of you may not have noticed that avocados were ever out of season, due to the fact that they are imported from various locations around the world to stock the shelves of American grocery stores. Since Dherbs is based in Los Angeles, we are very excited to welcome back California avocados, which have started showing up in our grocery stores.

There are so many varieties available, too! There is the classic Hass, of course, green and smooth Fuertes, soft Pinkertons, Bacons, and the yellow-green Zutano variety. While some varieties may be different in color or texture than others, they all offer amazing nutrients that one can use in his/her diet.

Avocados are rich in many of the vitamins and minerals that we should have every day. They have omega-3 fatty acids, protein, magnesium, potassium, healthy fats, and they don’t have any sodium or cholesterol. This low-carb, fiber-rich green superfood is something you need to start eating, especially since they are back in season.
