Apple sauce is a great snack, especially when it is raw and vegan. Your body can easily absorb the benefits of apples when you don’t have the other preservatives, which are typically in applesauce, getting in the way!

Ingredients
- 3 large apples
- 2/3 c water
- 1/3 c dried apricots or 5-6 large dates (both must be unsulfured)
Instructions
- Place the unsulfured dried apricots or dates (make sure to pit them if you use them) in a bowl and cover with the water. Let them soak for about 15 minutes.
- Core the apples and chop them up before adding them to a blender. Before you blend them, add the soaked apricots/dates with the water. Blend until you a smooth consistency.
- When you serve up the applesauce, garnish with a dash of cinnamon powder, if you so desire.
