Becoming Healthy and in Shape Before I Turn 30 – Day 2

Wow…today was a little different. My day started off the same as yesterday. Off to work, stopped for a smoothie, but this time…it did NOT help.

I was hungry by 11:00a.m. an hour after I had the smoothie. I had a few nuts, even some all fruit and nut trail mix. Still no help. So I decided to down a 1.5 liter bottle of water and that helped.

My co-worker Kimmie, who just got off a cleanse brought me a concoction she made of spinach and cilantro. Oh yeah, it was a drink. That’s what I had for lunch and it was sooo good. I need to get that recipe from her.

I had school tonight and I know it’s hard to eat correct in a class that’s from 6pm – 10:30pm. So I packed up a water, some raisins, celery sticks and made a small smoothie to drink on the drive with frozen fruits I keep in my freezer. Miraculously, we got out of class early and I continued my journey to Trader Joe’s to buy supplies. A friend met me up there to see what I would purchase because he wanted to start eating healthier.

So I got bags of salad, spinach, carrots, celery, a guacamole kit (yes a kit they have one with all the raw ingredients in it), enough tomatoes to make salsa for a week, nuts, dried bananas as a snack and a few other little items. When I got home I made the guacamole and cut up the celery to eat with it instead of chips. It was the best.

I was soooo proud I didn’t fall off today!
