Sugar Formula Tea is a botanical blend formulated with green tea leaf, Gymnema sylvestre leaf, licorice root, stevia leaf, and astragalus root. Designed for people looking to better manage their desire for sweets, this herbal tea combines traditionally used botanicals with naturally sweet stevia for a convenient addition to a balanced diet and mindful eating routine.*

A botanical approach to sugar cravings

Sugar Formula Tea combines five carefully selected botanicals in a convenient herbal tea designed for people who want additional support while reducing their reliance on highly sweetened foods and beverages.* Rather than focusing on extreme dietary restriction, the tea can complement a more mindful approach to eating and everyday nutrition.

Making better choices around sweets

Sugar cravings can make healthy eating habits more challenging, particularly when sweets and heavily processed foods are readily available. Building routines around balanced meals, hydration, and thoughtful food choices can make it easier to manage the desire for highly sweetened foods over time.

Understanding sugar cravings

A desire for something sweet can occur for many reasons. Hunger, eating habits, environmental cues, stress, sleep patterns, meal composition, and simply being accustomed to highly sweet foods can all influence when someone reaches for sugar.

Not every craving means the same thing

Understanding what triggers a craving can be more useful than automatically responding to it. Someone who regularly wants dessert after dinner, for example, may be responding to an established habit rather than an immediate nutritional requirement.

A tea for mindful eating

Preparing a cup of herbal tea creates a natural pause between experiencing a craving and deciding what to eat. This brief interruption can provide an opportunity to consider whether you're genuinely hungry or simply responding to a familiar desire for something sweet.

Creating a new routine

Replacing an automatic trip to the snack cabinet with a cup of herbal tea can gradually establish a different habit. Sugar Formula Tea can become part of that routine without requiring complicated preparation.*

Gymnema sylvestre and sweet taste

Gymnema sylvestre is one of the most distinctive botanicals in Sugar Formula Tea. Native to parts of India, Africa, and Australia, the climbing plant has a long history in traditional Ayurvedic practices and is commonly associated with its interaction with sweet taste.

The herb associated with sweetness

Gymnema leaves contain naturally occurring compounds known as gymnemic acids. These compounds are one reason the plant has received considerable attention in research involving sweet taste, glucose metabolism, and dietary behavior.

Reducing reliance on highly sweetened foods

Modern diets can contain substantial amounts of added sugar from soft drinks, desserts, candy, sweetened coffee beverages, sauces, cereals, and processed snacks. Becoming aware of these sources is an important first step toward reducing unnecessary added sugar.

Small dietary changes can add up

Reducing added sugar doesn't require eliminating every naturally sweet food. Fruit, for example, provides naturally occurring sugars alongside fiber and nutrients. The more useful goal is often reducing foods and beverages that provide large amounts of added sweeteners with relatively little nutritional value.

A naturally sweetened herbal blend

Sugar Formula Tea contains stevia leaf, a botanical known for its naturally sweet-tasting compounds. This provides sweetness within the herbal blend without requiring refined table sugar as an ingredient.

Retraining your palate

People who regularly consume extremely sweet foods may become accustomed to intense sweetness. Gradually reducing added sugars can allow less-sweet foods and beverages to become more satisfying over time.

Green tea and everyday wellness

Green tea is produced from the leaves of Camellia sinensis and is one of the world's most widely consumed teas. It naturally contains polyphenols, including catechins, that have made it a popular subject of nutritional research.

A source of naturally occurring plant compounds

Green tea contributes more than flavor to Sugar Formula Tea. Its naturally occurring catechins add another category of botanical compounds to a formula otherwise centered around leaves and roots traditionally used in herbal wellness practices.

Licorice root and herbal tradition

Licorice root has been used in traditional herbal practices for centuries. Its naturally sweet character comes primarily from glycyrrhizin, a plant compound that tastes considerably sweeter than ordinary table sugar.

Astragalus and traditional wellness

Astragalus root has a long history in traditional Chinese herbal practices. It contains naturally occurring polysaccharides, flavonoids, saponins, and other plant compounds that have made it a popular botanical in general wellness formulations.

Root-based botanical diversity

Including astragalus gives Sugar Formula Tea a different botanical dimension from its leafy ingredients. The combination of roots and leaves creates a broader plant profile than a single-herb tea.

Sugar Formula Tea before meals

Some people find that establishing a consistent routine before eating makes them more mindful of their food choices. Preparing Sugar Formula Tea before a meal can become part of this intentional approach.*

Creating a moment before eating

Instead of rushing directly into a meal or snack, drinking tea provides an opportunity to slow down. This can complement other mindful eating practices such as eating without distractions and paying attention to hunger and fullness.

An alternative to sugary beverages

Sweetened drinks can be a significant source of added sugar because they are easy to consume quickly. Sodas, sweet teas, energy drinks, flavored coffees, and other beverages can contain substantial amounts of added sweeteners.

Changing what you drink

Choosing unsweetened or lightly sweetened herbal tea instead of a heavily sweetened beverage can be one straightforward way to reduce added sugar intake. Sugar Formula Tea can be enjoyed warm or cold depending on preference.

Sugar cravings and balanced meals

Meal composition can influence how satisfied someone feels after eating. Meals containing appropriate amounts of protein, fiber-rich foods, vegetables, and healthy fats can provide a more substantial nutritional foundation than meals dominated by refined carbohydrates.

Build your diet around satisfying foods

Sugar Formula Tea should complement rather than replace balanced meals. A cup of tea cannot provide the protein, fiber, essential fats, vitamins, minerals, and calories supplied by nutritious foods.

Sugar cravings and hydration

Thirst and habitual snacking can sometimes occur at similar times during the day. Maintaining adequate hydration is a basic wellness habit that can help create a more structured approach to eating and drinking.

Tea contributes to fluid intake

Because herbal tea is primarily water, drinking tea can contribute to daily fluid intake. Green tea does naturally contain caffeine, however, so total caffeine consumption should be considered.

Sugar cravings and sleep

Sleep can influence appetite, food choices, and eating behavior. People who routinely get inadequate sleep may find it harder to maintain consistent dietary habits.

Look beyond food alone

Managing cravings isn't exclusively about willpower. Sleep, stress, activity, and daily routines can all influence eating behavior, making a whole-lifestyle approach more practical.

Sugar cravings and stress

Stress can affect eating behavior differently from person to person. Some people lose interest in food, while others find themselves reaching more frequently for highly palatable foods such as sweets.

Create a different response to stress

A warm cup of tea can provide a simple ritual during stressful periods. It won't eliminate the source of stress, but it can become part of a broader routine that doesn't automatically revolve around sweet snacks.

Sugar Formula Tea as part of a healthy lifestyle

No individual herb or tea determines someone's overall health. Sugar Formula Tea works best conceptually as one component of a routine built around nutritious foods, appropriate portions, regular movement, adequate sleep, and reasonable consumption of added sugars.*

Consistency over quick fixes

Long-term habits matter more than temporary dietary extremes. Making realistic changes that can be maintained is generally more useful than repeatedly cycling between strict restriction and overconsumption.

What's in Sugar Formula Tea?

Sugar Formula Tea contains five botanicals with different traditional uses and naturally occurring plant compounds: green tea leaf, Gymnema sylvestre leaf, licorice root, stevia leaf, and astragalus root. Each ingredient contributes something different to the formula, from green tea polyphenols and Gymnema's gymnemic acids to the naturally sweet compounds found in stevia and licorice.

Green tea leaf

Green tea comes from Camellia sinensis and naturally contains polyphenols, particularly catechins such as EGCG. Because tea is brewed in water, the nutritional composition of the finished cup differs from that of the unbrewed leaf.

Typical vitamins: vitamin C, vitamin K, folate, and small amounts of certain B vitamins may naturally occur in the leaf.
Typical minerals: manganese, potassium, magnesium, calcium, and small amounts of zinc and other trace minerals.
Notable plant compounds: catechins, EGCG, flavonoids, L-theanine, and naturally occurring caffeine.

Gymnema sylvestre leaf

Gymnema sylvestre is a climbing plant traditionally used in Ayurvedic herbal practices. The leaves are particularly notable for gymnemic acids, which have contributed to the plant's association with sweetness and glucose-related research.

Typical minerals: naturally occurring minerals can include calcium, magnesium, potassium, iron, manganese, and other trace minerals, with amounts varying by growing conditions and preparation.
Notable plant compounds: gymnemic acids, saponins, flavonoids, and other phytochemicals.

Licorice root

Licorice comes from Glycyrrhiza species and has a long history of traditional herbal use. Its root contains glycyrrhizin, which is responsible for much of licorice's characteristic sweetness.

Typical minerals: potassium, calcium, magnesium, phosphorus, iron, zinc, and manganese may naturally occur in the root.
Notable plant compounds: glycyrrhizin, flavonoids, liquiritin, and other phenolic compounds.

Stevia leaf

Stevia rebaudiana is a South American plant best known for compounds in its leaves that provide intense sweetness without conventional table sugar.

Typical minerals: potassium, calcium, magnesium, iron, zinc, and manganese may occur naturally in stevia leaves.
Notable plant compounds: steviol glycosides, including stevioside and rebaudioside A.

Astragalus root

Astragalus membranaceus is a root traditionally used in Chinese herbal practices. It contains several categories of plant compounds that have attracted interest in botanical research.

Typical minerals: calcium, potassium, magnesium, iron, zinc, manganese, and other trace minerals may naturally occur depending on the plant and soil.
Notable plant compounds: astragalosides, polysaccharides, flavonoids, saponins, and other phytochemicals.

How to prepare Sugar Formula Tea

Place one tea bag into a cup and add boiled water. Allow the tea to steep for approximately two minutes, then let it cool to a comfortable drinking temperature. It can be enjoyed warm or chilled.

Keep added sugar consistent with the goal

Because this product is positioned around managing sugar cravings, consider enjoying it without added refined sugar. If additional sweetness is desired, keep the amount modest and consistent with your overall nutritional goals.

I have started taking the Sugar Formula Tea and the taste is actually not bad. I drink plain with no added sweeteners. I do notice that u need to drink it at least for a few days consistently to start it working but I am happy with the progress. *

I’ll be honest this is the most bitter tea I’ve ever tasted. I tried it with lemon and not even that helped. With that being said; although the tea is difficult to get down it does what it promises to do. The Sugar Formula Tea is a great tea to pair with a cleanse especially during the first couple of days because I notice that’s when my cravings are the strongest. I will keep purchasing and definitely would recommend to others. *
