    Simply eat your foods individually.

    Actually, food combining laws are not that difficult. At the bottom of the pages of the food chart on our site, it tells you what other food groups to eat with and also to avoid. And if it's still difficult, simply ignore food combining and just eat the way you're used to eating and maybe one day in the future understanding of food combining will come your way.

    Dherbs.com: I haven't given up on big Black women at all. The fact is that most big Black women BLACK discipline and will not do what is necessary. The simple fact that they blew up in the first place says a lot (i.e. poor self-esteem, low self-image, unhappiness, undisciplined, etc.)

    That is another story though cause I'm not big AT ALL!! but I am a black female.

    Now I'm pregnant and read that protein develops the babies brain so I started eating meat until I have the baby.

You don't have to worry about the development of your baby's brain. The body intelligence has that covered. Meat is not protein unless you eat it raw (but the WHOLE animal must be eaten)!!!

    Is it safe to drink protein shakes to replace the protein instead of eating meat?

    Q: I am getting ready to go in the field for 3 days with the Military, and there will not be a variety of food to choose from. I started the WEIGHT RELEASE CLEANSE AND REGIMEN on 08-Jul-08. I know that I can still drink the master cleanse in the morning and drinking the tea. My only problem is the food. Will it be okay to eat some of the food and start right back to eating the right food on Monday?

    Q: How often should one eat cook food? I'm a vegan, I do not consume any meat, seafood, milk what so ever. I eat water cresses like everyday so as cook food. Like white rice with black bean sauce, spinach, and pasta at time's I'll eat some Chinese fried rice, veggie roll, steamed vegetables, any advice?

    A:

    You can eat cooked food as much as you like being a vegan and all. Myself, about 2 days out of the week I will eat totally raw. However, I just go with the flow.

    As long as one is not eating animal flesh, dairy products, refined grains and starches, etc., the person is good to go. Just make sure you detoxify the body at least 1-2 times per year.

    Q: I am preparing to do the full body cleanse. I was wondering if canned fruit and canned beans are considered raw food?

    A:

    Hi, and thanks for the question.

    Canned fruit is pasteurized which is a heat process that renders the food
    not raw. Beans are cooked before they are canned and are not raw either.
    Most canned food has added preservatives and salt. Best to avoid on a
    cleanse. Look for pre sprouted beans and legumes at your local health food
    store instead. Dried fruit is better than canned fruit just make sure they do not have added sugars or sulfured.

    Q: How can I motivate myself to stick to healthy foods and exercise?

    A:

    Hello,

    Motivating yourself to stick to healthy foods and exercise is not as difficult as you think.  The real reason people beleive it is difficult is because garbage foods are addictive, just like drugs.  Once you properly cleanse/detox your body (and brain), you will begin to crave raw fruits and vegetables just as you now crave your favoriate drug/food  If you don't beleive me, simply try it.  Contact DHerbs and get products to thorougly detox and cleanse your body, and eliminate parasites.  The cleaner you are internally, the more you will crave healthy foods and have the energy to exercise.  A dirty body does not want to move.  

    Of course there are many ways I can assist you in motivating yourself to adhere to the detox and cleansing until your healthy cravings kick in.  If you tell me a bit about your specific challenge I will respond with a bit on that as well.

    Q: When looking at the Food Combining Chart I was wondering if smoothies are not a violation of all of the "recommendations." If it is suggested that certain items not be combined, how can smoothies actually be "healthy" to our bodies aside from the absolute nutrition they provide? Although I make them all the time, are we not potentially setting ourselves up for trouble? Just wondering. Thanks in advance for your expertise.

    Hi! Thanks for the question.

    The food combining chart is a suggestion for "optimal" digestion. It suggests we should eat mono meals optimally. This is often impossible and there is no evidence scientifically for this method. I am not sure how it would be studied anyway.

    It is considered best to try to adhere to the rules to the best of your ability. However, mixing fruits and veggies as in a green smoothie is absolutely fine. The benefits of the nutrition you receive will out weigh any digestive disturbance that may occur. Feel safe to have green smoothies in your diet and cleanse.

    Q: I just receive my order yesterday (9/15/08) I started today which is 9/16/08. I know I can drink green tea but can I put splenda in it or do I have to drink it plain? I know I can eat fruit in the morning for breakfast can it be like 2 oranges and that's all?

    Splenda is not to be consumed while on the cleanses. It's an artificial sugar that isn't good for the body. The only sweeteners that you can consume are stevia. maple syrup grade b and agave nectar. You can eat as much fruit as you want when you want.

    Q: My son is 2yrs old with Downs syndrome, and also has various health defects one of them being vsd a heart defect. Although I've read that many children with Down's Syndrome have a delay. I don't see it in my son mentally, but physically he does have a delay. Unlike my son my 10yr daughter began walking at 10 months. What can I do to help progress physically aside from physical therapy in which he recieves.

    Q: I was wondering in your list you include foods that are classified as acidic (AC). I thought we were to avoid acidic foods so we can stay alkaline or do we need some acidic foods? THE PROBLEM IS WITH ACID-FORMING FOODS (COOKED FOODS: MEAT, DAIRY, REFINED STARCHES, REFINED GRAINS, ETC.). SO THERE'S A DIFFERENCE BETWEEN ACID FOODS AND ACID-FORMING FOODS. AND YOU DO KNOW THAT MOST OF WHAT WE ARE EATING IS HYBRIDIZED, RIGHT? WE ARE NOT IN CONTROL OF WHAT WE ARE EATING TODAY. EVEN DR. SEBI EATS HYBRIDIZED FOODS. HE CAN'T HELP IT.
