Vicious Vinegar

Vinegar, an impure dilute solution obtained by fermentation used as a preservative. It is not a food. It is a solvent. Interferes with the digestive process, retarding and preventing the proper assimilation of food causing ulcers, cancer. http://dherbs.com/images/dherbs400x400.jpg
Vinegar is an acidic liquid produced through fermentation. Today, vinegar is mostly used in cooking, but it has also been used medically and industrially. There are many different types of vinegar, all with different tastes and uses. Some of the most commonly found types are:
  • Balsamic
  • Apple Cider
  • Kombucha
  • Malt
  • Wine
  • White
  • Sherry
  • Rice
Vinegar and the Body

Since vinegar is a highly acidic substance, it has the ability to change the body's pH. Our body is designed to have a pH level of around 7.3. When this changes significantly, our bodies can be affected. The pH content varies between types of vinegars and even brands. Heavy vinegar ingestion can cause conditions like hypokalemia, octeoporosis and hyperreninemia.

However, small amounts of vinegar in foods will not cause harm to the body. Adding vinegar to a salad dressing or in a drink will not disrupt your body's pH levels to the point of disease.

Dangers of Too Much Vinegar

The destructive element of vinegar, especially white distilled and wine vinegar, is called Acetic Acid. It can destroy the red blood corpuscles, resulting in anemia and even cancer of the blood, or leukemia. Acetic acid also interferes with the digestive process, retarding and preventing the proper assimilation of food. Acetic acid can cause ulcers and hardening of the liver.

Vinegar, being highly acidic, can be very damaging to the blood. Some disorders due to high acidity levels include:
  • Herpes
  • Eczema
  • Psoriasis
  • Shingles
  • Dermatitis
Vinegar and Foods

Many of the foods we eat contain vinegar. Look at ingredient labels to identify if your foods contain vinegar. Remember, vinegar in moderation will not harm the body, but too much of anything can be unhealthy. Some high vinegar foods include:
  • Pickles
  • Relish
  • Mustard
  • Salad Dressing
  • Mayonnaise
  • Potato Chips
  • Dips
  • Canned or Preserved products
Be aware of what you are eating and how it affects the body. Knowledge is power, especially when it comes to food. Stick to organic vinegars when used and they are the least harmful to the body. Keeping the body's pH level moderated is essential to wellness.

    Q: I was reading your article about vinegar being harmful to the body because of its acids and I was curious to know what you think of the Organic unpasturized, unfiltered apple cider vinegar with mother? I saw that at the end of the article it stated that "if you must" use vinegar to use the organic apple cider vinegar but, I have read many places that it has many health benefits such as reducing bad cholesterol, regulating blood pressure, eliminating toxic waste from the body, fighting fungal and bacterial infections, helping relieve joint pains, breaking down fat which helps in natural weight reduction.

    A:

    I approve of apple cider vinegar for health purposes. Some good stuff!

    Q: Thanks for your article about vinegar. I was just going to use it regularly with honey. Can you use it on your skin though? I was wondering if the acidity would be good for wrinkles or acne.

    A:

    Glad you enjoyed the "Vinegar" article. I don't recommend vinegar on the skin. However, a little inn bath water won't hurt (say about half a cup). I recommend Oz-Oil for the skin. Oxygen is what the skin needs.

    Q: I recently purchased your Parasite and Worm Kit and wanted to know what grains were good to eat during or after the cleanse. I eat Bulgur, brown rice, black rice, couscous, gold and brown flax seed and ground provisions i.e. yams, sweet potatoes, pumpkin, turnips and etc. Are these ok to eat during the Parasite and Worm Kit or after? Is apple cider or balsamic vinegar ok for consumption? My Queen and I look forward to removing all the parasites form our temple and projecting the increased vibration. Continue to shine the light.

    A:

    Stay RAW while removing the parasites! If you stay mostly RAW, then on a few days you can engage yourself in some of the foods you mention below (maybe once a week)! But RAW is best! Apple Cider Vinegar is the BEST vinegar to use!

    Q: I started the full body detox today, and found that I DO NOT like the salad dressing I made with the olive oil, apple cider vinegar and lemon juice. I found I could not tolerate it on my salad. What can I do instead? Another question is... I noticed lentils on the food combining chart. Those have to be cooked. Are those actually allowed to be consumed warm? I love the raw fruits and vegetables. I don?t have a problem, cause I love salads. I just need help on what I can have on it.

    A:

    I suggest you purchase a good salad dressing to your liking from a nearby health food store.

    In re lentils, cooked foods are prohibited during the FBD!

    Q: I was wondering if it is okay to mix Mrs. Dash season blend with Olive Oil as a dressing for my salad? It tastes real bad with just Olive Oil alone, and I don't like the bitterness taste of lemon juice, and apple vinegar cider. Plus, what would you recommend for toppings to make the salad more interesting? Can I put olives, and cucumbers, etc.?

    A:

    Do as you please as far as dressing goes! Just stay away from harmful ingredients! Mrs. Dash, seasonings, Olive Oil,

    Q: I would like to know (1) Why you would not recommend soy? (2) What are some good recipes that you could recommend that are simple to fix? (3) What breads are good to eat? (4) What salad dressings are good and do you make your own? and if you make your own, I would like to get that information. (5) Also what is the 411 on wheat gluten? I'm thankful for all information and time.

    A:

    1. Soy

    Soy along with corn is the number one genetically-engineered crop on the planet. Soy is not digested in the body and this is why we shouldn't eat a lot of soy products or shouldn't eat it at all. Soy is an industrial product. I would only recommend soy as a meat-alternative.

    2. Recipes

    Beloved, I recommend that you purchase the Full Body Detox Companion ($40) which includes numerous vegan and raw foods recipes. But here are a few freebies:

    Famous Muslim Bean Soup (Small white/navy beans, celery, carrots, broccoli, garlic, onion, paprika, sea salt, maple syrup [optional]) Directions:

    1. Bring water in pot to a boil;

    2. Add beans, 2-3 tablespoons of sea salt, diced or chopped onions and garlic and let boil for about 45 minutes or until beans or soft/mashable;

    3. Add paprika, 2-3 tablespoons of maple syrup, and diced or chopped carrots, celery and broccoli sprouts and let cook/boil for ten minutes;

    4. Let cool down to room temperature;

    5. Finished ? eat and enjoy! Great with some type of grain muffin.

    Veggie Deli Sandwiches (Use TVP, soy, hemp, or seitan alternative "meat" slices available at good health food stores). You can add/use: Cheese (rice, almond, hemp, nut, or soy cheese ? remember: some of these cheeses contain "casein" which is a dairy product); Nayonnaise or Veganaise as a sandwich spread; Non-vinegar Mustard (i.e. Whole Food?s "Whole Kids" brand ); organic green or Romaine lettuce; organic tomatoes; Kosher dill pickles (I personally prefer Trader Joe?s brand of sour dill pickles as they are made without vinegar and taste great); grilled onions (optional). I also sprinkle a little Trocomore brand Herbal Seasoning (or sea salt) on my sandwich. I prefer my sandwich on sprouted wheat bread, rye bread, Kamut Egyptian wheat bread, spelt, or mixed grain bread (Alvarado Market brand). This sandwich goes good with Barbara?s brand potato chips (ruffled style).

    Falafel Burger (to make a falafel burger patty: add chopped onions, black olives, and/or grated carrots and rice/almond/soy cheese; and mushrooms to your falafel mix; pour a little extra virgin olive oil on the pan or tray and let the falafel patty bake until ready).

    ADD THE WORKS TO YOUR BURGER! i.e. lettuce (Romaine, Green), tomatoes, pickles, Nayonnaise or Vegnaise spread; mustard (Whole Kids brand); cheese (rice, soy, hemp, almond, etc.); raw or grilled onions; vegetarian chili; veggie bacon, etc. Sprinkle a little sea salt or herbal seasoning. Be imaginative and inventive! Satisfy your palate!

    To add french fries to go with your burger: Wash and peel (unless you prefer to eat the potato skin) 1-2 organic Russet potatoes. Cut potato into halves and then into long strips. Put long strips (fries) into glassware or a pan or tray (nonaluminum), douse fries/potatoes with extra virgin olive oil (making sure oil gets all over potatoes). Bake in the oven on 350 or 400 degrees for about 45 minutes or until golden brown on the outside of potatoes. Make sure to turn the potatoes from time to time to prevent sticking. When ready, let fries/potatoes cool down. Add fruit-based ketchup and sprinkle a little sea salt on your fries ? and you?re ready to go!

    3. Breads

    Good breads to eat include: BUCKWHEAT, KAMUT WHEAT, AMARANTH, TEFF, RYE and MULTI-GRAIN.

    4. Salda Dressing

    Make a big green leafy salad with Romaine lettuce and/or Green lettuce (avoid iceberg lettuce), tomatoes, radish, carrots, cucumbers and any other vegetable you like. Be inventive and sprinkle poppy seeds, gomacio (sesame seeds and sea salt), herbal seasoning and/or other spices on your salad. For a dressing, try using extra virgin olive oil, sesame oil, apple cider or plum vinegar, lemon or lime juice (or combine them all). Remember , be inventive! You know what you like!

    5. Wheat gluten

    Wheat gluten is better than soy and i'd recommend it over soy any time. The problem with wheat gluten is that many Black people have a gluten intolerance which results in disease (Celiac's disease), so Blacks should be wary about this product, esp. if it causes health problems.
