In Buddha's time, dynamic methods of meditation were not needed. People were more relaxed and their lives were simpler. Now life moves at a much faster pace, which creates much more stress and tension. Just sitting directly in silent meditation is not so easy. What Is Meditation![]() Meditation is an adventure, adventure into the unknown, the greatest adventure the human mind can take. Meditation is just to be, not doing anything - no action, no thought, no emotion. You just are and it is a sheer delight. From where does this delight come when you are not doing anything? It comes from nowhere, or it comes from everywhere. It is uncaused, because existence is made of the stuff called joy. Meditation is not an Indian method; it is not simply a technique. You cannot learn it. It is a growth: a growth of your total living, out of your total living. Meditation is not something that can be added to you as you are. It cannot be added to you; it can only come to you through a basic transformation, a mutation. It is a flowering, a growth. Growth is always from the total; it is not an addition.Just like love, it cannot be added to you. It grows out of you, out of your totality. You must grow toward meditation. Oil was the first medicine used by modern humanity. Essential oils are the basis of aromatherapy. Aromatherapy is an ancient healing art and craft that uses essential oils (the blood of plants) to help relieve, treat, and heal a wide variety of emotional, spiritual and physical problems. ![]() Essential oils are plant extracts derived from various parts of plants flowers, barks, roots, seeds, peels, and blossoms, which capture the essence of a plants characteristics and healing/therapeutic properties. Essential oils possess an herbal effect or influence similar to the original plant source, however, essential oils are nearly 100 times more concentrated. Our inhalers work via inhalation or smell. When essential oils are inhaled, they trigger the olfactory nerves (in the nose) which are directly connected to the limbic system of our brain which is the part of the brain responsible for controlling reactions, breathing, emotions, and more. Our bodies (all eight of them, including the seven subtle bodies that make up the human bio-sheath or aura) react to an aroma before it can even be identified by the physical mind. Tiny molecules of essential oils enter the bloodstream through the normal respiratory process providing a secondary benefit similar to direct application. With our inhalers, all you have to do is simply inhale when you feel the need to acquire the specific or desired effect happiness, joy, calmness, clearer breathing, sexual stimulation, balance, release, etc. These emotions and feelings are not the result of essential oils, but are just influenced by them. Step Nine Open your eyes after you feel more relaxed and centered; gradually open your eyes and spring back to Earth (3rd Dimension) with renewed energy. Tips & Warnings Begin with 5 to 10 minutes of meditation each day and increase to 20 minutes or more twice each day. Answers come through the medium of silence; and the affirmation of a thing, makes the desire for the thing stronger and more obtainable. To affirm means to: "make stronger." In the word "affirm" is FIRM, i.e. Af-FIRM! You can repeat meditation throughout the day as much as you like. It is also best to do meditation/affirmation before going to bed each night (during a Dherbs cleanse and/or after). If necessary, write your affirmation(s) down on a piece of paper and look at throughout the day as a reminder. Whether you chose to use the inhaler for purposes of the affirmation is up to you. However, we recommend use of the inhaler along with saying the affirmations. Smell is a powerful in stimulating thoughts. Meditating With Crystals![]() Meditating with a crystal is one of the easiest ways to attune its energy. Cleanse your crystal before beginning so that its energies will be pure. Meditation is a way of shutting off the mind chatter. It has many benefitsalleviating stress, lowering blood pressure, etc - but it also allows you to get to know your crystals. In the stillness of meditation, the crystals talk to you. Meditation is like opening a door to another world, especially if you choose a crystal that has fault lines and occlusions within it. You lose yourself within the crystal. In the peace that follows, solutions and insights rise up into awareness. It is beneficial to meditate with each of your crystals in turn, taking a few days to tune into each one and come to know it fully. Some people like to have a "crystal day" when they tune into each of their crystals. Start with the red crystals to energize and awaken, moving through the rainbow spectrum into orange, yellow, green, blue, purple, violet, and clear. This brings you to the highest crystal vibration and you could well feel blessed out. You may need to earth your energies again with one of the black crystals. Earthing, or grounding, your energies after meditation is important as you may otherwise feel floatyand quite here. Boji Stones are excellent for this as they settle you into your body instantly but gently, and immediately bring you fully present. - Judy Hall, The Crystal Bible, pg. 32 How To Meditate With Crystals?Step One | Step Two | List Of Crystals For Corresponding Chakras Step One To meditate, one must break away, however briefly, from the world. Turn off your cell phone and pager, disconnect the fax machine, shut down the computer and turn on the answering machineÉallow no interruptions during this special time. Place a "Do Not Disturb" sign or "In Meditation" sign on your doors (especially front door of your home). Also if possible wear simple loose fitting clothes. Step Two Making sure that you will not be disturbed, especially by a phone, settle yourself comfortably with your crystal. Hold it in both hands or place it on a low table in front of you. Breathe gently, letting each out-breath be a little longer than the in-breath. As you breathe out, let go of any stress or tension you may be feeling. As you breathe in, let peace flow with your in-breath passing right through your body. Allow your breathing to settle into an easy rhythm. With softly focused eyes, look at your crystal. Notice its color, its shape, its weight if you are holding it. Feel its vibrations passing into your hands. Allow yourself to wander within the crystal, exploring its inner planes. When you are ready, close your eyes. Quietly contemplate the energies of the crystal and let it teach you about itself. When you have completed the meditation, open your eyes and put the crystal aside. Place your feet firmly on the floor. To ground yourself, hold a Smoky Quatrz or Boji Stone. - Judy Hall, The Crystal Bible, pg. 33 OPTIONAL: You can use Dherbs Crystal Elixirs before or after meditation to facilitate opening/balancing your chakras.
