 Life Is What You Make of It! That's right! YOUR life is what you make of it! Mythologist Joseph Campbell said it best when he said: "Life is without meaning. You bring the meaning to it." Oh so true! People, it is YOUR life and you can do what YOU will or want with it. It's YOUR choice and always has been. You and I were born with choice but we were conditioned to give that choice to someone or something else. Who did the conditioning? Answer: the Matrix (i.e. school, religion, society, parents, law enforcement, politics, etc.). But that which is conditioned can be unconditioned. The good thing about all of this is that we learned a valuable lesson from giving our choice away to others, well, at least a few of us learned. We experienced something: powerlessness, humiliation, fear, weakness, inadequacy, etc. These things are polarities! Day 18 Today is day 18 and basically the detox is done. Yippee! Its just a matter of time now. After you’ve made it through 17 days, the finish line is a mere formality. I cannot wait until Sunday when I can have cooked foods. I am preparing my vegetable soup this evening, I always try and eat veggie soup the day after a detox. It’s a great way to implement foods back into your diet. Today will be my first official day back at the gym with the trainer. I took it easy during the detox, just giving my body time to detox. I feel like I can run in the Olympic games. This is so great!! Breakfast - Smoothie Lunch - Kale and spinach salad with all my favorite veggies. Dinner - Bowl of fruit, nuts and seed Salli

To Pancreas Cancer
 People who drink two or more sweetened soft drinks a week have a much higher risk of pancreatic cancer, an unusual but deadly cancer, researchers reported on Monday. People who drank mostly fruit juice instead of sodas did not have the same risk, the study of 60,000 people in Singapore found. Sugar may be to blame but people who drink sweetened sodas regularly often have other poor health habits, said Mark Pereira of the University of Minnesota, who led the study. "The high levels of sugar in soft drinks may be increasing the level of insulin in the body, which we think contributes to pancreatic cancer cell growth," Pereira said in a statement. Something as simple as sitting down to dinner together as a family can go a long way in helping a child fend off obesity.
That's just one of the findings from new research that suggests that family behaviors can have a significant impact on the weight of preschool children. Other behaviors that may help youngsters stay slim include getting adequate sleep and limiting time in front of the TV.
"Four-year-olds who regularly ate dinner with the family, got enough sleep and watched less than two hours of TV a day were 40 percent less likely to be obese," said the study's lead author, Sarah Anderson, an assistant professor of epidemiology in the College of Public Health at Ohio State University in Columbus.
"One of the things that's potentially useful about recommending these routines, if they're suggested as part of obesity-prevention counseling, is that they may have other benefits, too. And, for pediatricians and other clinicians, we don't have easy, effective treatments for obesity in children, so it's very important to try to prevent obesity," said Anderson.
