Spiders

I have had a dream several times over the past two years of a single, fairly large spider hanging, dangling from the ceiling of my   bedroom. The spider is about the size of a golf ball. I will dream that I wake up, look up at the ceiling, and see the spider dangling down by one of it's threads. . It has seemed so real to me I turn the lights on only to find nothing there. oh yea and im not normally afraid of spiders.

My book says that dreaming of spiders represents an irrational fear that you picked up during childhood that you may need to overcome to make progress. o_o

I agree with Transcend. If you think of a spider they make webs and things get caught within them, maybe you are feeling trapped in a situation.

I would think about the significance that the spider is coming form the ceiling in your bedroom. I dont know if that a stretch, but maybe the ceilings could be representing something. and maybe there could be significance behind the dream taking place in your bedroom.

spiders have a bad rep, because they are so scary to most, but really they are a natural vacuum, catching bugs. Spiderwebs are piece of art, in the rain they are rally pretty.

Piggybacking off of Mr. Transcend, if there is a fear you need to overcome from childhood, it would make sense. Your spider hasn't made a web, its just hanging by one thread. Maybe that can represent unfinished business.

I kept having dreams of spiders as well. I don't mess with anything with 8 legs, no matter the size. Maybe one day I will overcome this but we have brown recluses and black widows here where I live so.....

Anyway, I kept having these dreams that they were in my ceiling as well and would dangle down, but when I would try to kill them, they would go back up to the ceiling and I couldn't kill or reach them...strange.

Someone once told me they represent protection...don't remember if she was speaking of a dream or not though
