I'm on day 15 of my 25 day juice fast.  I feel great, my energy is up well above where it's usually at.  I just finished playing 5 pickup games of basketball a couples hours ago.  This is the second fast I've ever done and the main reason for doing it besides detoxing was for sleep.  It's rare that I get a good nights sleep.  Usually I'm tossing, turning and waking up a few time throughout the night.  This is worst for me because I work a really stressful job and my hours change a lot.  I'll be working days one week and end up nights the next week.  Now I can sleep 5 hours if I have to and once the alarm goes off I'm good to go and I won't hit the wall all day.

I've noticed how much I eat just because I'm bored.  I eat most of the time just because it's something to do.  The thing I noticed during this fast are my bowel movements.  It's crazy to think that I haven't had any food in 15 days but I'm still dropping deuces.  This is after I did a colon cleanse a couple months ago.  I think this week I'm gonna avoid any fruits or vegetables with high sugar content.  I'm curious to see how my body reacts after going that long with very little sugar.

Word......I had been putting it off for a couple months but then I saw this documentary called Fat, Sick and Nearly Dead.  It's about an Australian man who does a 60 day juice fast and he inspired a 400 pound truck driver to do the same.  The trucker now weighs less than me.  I think he got down to 200 pounds.

It's something I got to do.  For health reasons and discipline.  Probably gonna do the full body detox in September.

Have you been working out (weight lifting or cardio) during you fast?

I've been working crazy hours the past couple weeks and only played basketball twice during my fast.  I played for a couple hours Monday.  I wanted to try to play every other day but my schedule hasn't allowed it.  The only difference I can tell when I'm playing is my strength isn't the same.
