only after i was dead and only to another person who needed it. not for science. a family member would have to make the call. i stopped putting organ donor on my license because i heard that if you are in an accident and you are listed as a donor, the hospital might not work to save you because they want the organs. the whole industry is so shady, i wouldn't be surprised.

In certain countries you actually have to opt out of being an organ donor vs the u.s where u are asked (ex. License branch).  And yes..that has been an issue-  determining if you are "offiically" dead  or not before the staff starts harvesting your organs. the time frame is critical.
