Facing a dark entity

I had a dream that a dark entity was chasing me. This thing was ugly, creepy, vicious, had red eyes, crusty dark brown skin, and sharp teeth....jus very unpleasant.

I began to run from it...but a few seconds later I was like "why run, its just gonna keep following me". So I stopped, turned around to face it, and grabbed it as it lunged towards me. I was holding it firmly with both hands (i dont remember if i was hugging it or not, anyway) and said " I love you, I love you, I love you" over and over again until I saw a massive pure crystal bright white light in the shape of a square G

...and thats the last thing I remember.  I didnt even jump out of my sleep after facing it...I was at peace...I felt no fear after the encounter. I woke up in the morning feeling sooo good.
