I just have a regular blender nothing fancy. My juicer is omega 8005 I paid a pretty penny for it close to four hundred dollars 5 years ago you can get it for 259 off amazon today. I have had no issues with it and it yields a lot of juice per fruit or vegetable. Blenders are for smoothies which gives the slushy consistency I dont drink a lot of smoothies, I prefer juicing because of its immediate effect on healing the body because the digestive system doesnt have to break down the fiber in the fruits and veggies, the juice goes immediately to your bloodstream. Although I will be investing in a vitamix in the future, Im not in a rush because I would prefer my topnotch juicer over a topnotch blender anyday.

Cool. I think I would prefer a blender because I love Smoothies! I love what you can do with VitaMix as well. Thanks!

Thanks hun. I guess the apple makes it sweet depending on what type of apple you get. Now I have a few ideas. All I need now is the dern VitaMixer or BlendTec.

Anyone want to pass one on to a sista?HuhHuh??.......lmao.

my favs(not all greens):  apple/kale
apple/carrot (ginger)
apple/kale/carrot
apple/kale/celery
apple/cucumber
apple/beets
grapefruit
orange/tangerine
orange
apple/pear
smoothie: spinach/banana/strawberry
banana/almond milk

if you couldn't tell, I like apple. I'm really boring sometimes and drink what my body wants. currently it wants apple/kale. last year it wanted citrus, and the yr before that smoothies with spinach as a main ingredient.

follow your bodies queues and grab whatever fruits/veggis come to mind. then from there experiment with the juices/smoothies

good books: juicing for life by: calbom & keane
any of the boutenko family books
the little booklet that comes with the juicer
light eating for survival by marcia acciardo

bon appetite!!

i saw in costco yesterday(its like sams/bjs) a vitamix for 370. you might wanna check that out. That is the cheapest price i ever seen on a VitaMix

Ok...ive invested in some digest-aid, enzymes, acid buster, carbon...low stomach issues are going away. Its only been a month, but ive noticed my skin does not break out as much and if it does they are tiny and gone within a day or two!...And thats after I ate somethin with soy (just a lil) in it!!! *soy+me=bumps on me face* Next challenge-Almonds on 05/11/2011!

I still have a lil gas?? (eww!!lol) but no more burps Smiley

Yippie! I had a gut (lol) feeling my stomach acid levels where low...and I was right!! I mean, ima healthy eater and am still having issues with acne...ugh, whats the freakin problem??? My body was not using the food to its full capacity...so im helping it. My organs are soo in love with me right now Kiss

Whew, undoing 24 yrs of unhealthy eating is a full time job..lol.

Your journey sounds like mine. I really miss almonds (urrgh lol). In addition to the enzymes, carbon, etc. I recently started taking probiotics as well.
