Cool....I hated my gap when I was younger
got braces
lost my retainer
gap came back...
got a new retainer
lost it again
got ANOTHER retainer
lol...yup lost it again
was gonna get braces again...
decided not to...
then started loving my gap and
wondered why my gap didnt wanna go away...which lead me to ask what it means to have a gap...specially one that goes through so much jus to stick around.

normally people with gaps have their frenulum pushing the two front teeth apart. Sometimes it continues to push it,  eventually leading the gap to enlarge from childhood. The frenulum is that piece of skin connecting the top of the lip to the gum. If you take your tongue and run it along your gum you will feel it(directly in the middle)


I never thought of it being a metaphysical reason. that is an interesting thought.

Yay !! I'ma gappee too, on the top and the bottom!! The old host of family feud once said that gaps give u character, i agree...   My words come out funny sometimes and to add on to that i have a slight lisp, no more customer service jobs for me lol, "you know what I just said."
