Before the "War on Terror", there was a "War on Drugs."

Between police salaries and prison operations, the so-called
War on Drugs is one of the most lucrative industries in
the US today.

Maybe that's why the Pentagon, big banks, and major
pharmaceutical companies all seem to be involved in
making sure it never ends.
