Tied to another place?

I often wondered, what Im doing here.

I've spoken to a number of "immigrants" from various places ( Dominican Republic, Peru, Ghana, Nigeria for example) who live in my city. I always ask these people  what is better, Living in the US, or living where you're from. They always say, their native country, because here you have to work too much and they are saving up to send their money home so they can live quite comfortably when they go back ( Mexican people Ive spoken to do this en masse). Now I just wonder if that's their nostalgic self speaking, or objective self.

In any event, I find this place wack and don't want to remain here anymore, especially the NYC area( it's off the hook if you are a consumer, commercial based individual). What are peoples thoughts on repatriation?

Im talking to a man...born and raised in NYC....who is also like "get me the hell out of this city"

Id never wanna go "back" to Africa and what not...but if the place i live at does not suit my desires...then ima bounce to a place that does. Ex: If I like walking in open private grassy fields and I lives in the city...Ima take my assets to a place I can do that. A place they wanna pass off as a sub-urban area...but really its a fancy country town. Like where I live now...not too far from the city...but not close...well 20 miles away. But still...pleanty of nature around to enjoy...and farms...and gun shots from ppl hunting animals...I went for a walk today and its was fab!...ducks, geese, lots and lots of butterflys, rabbits, lush grass, pleanty of trees, ponds...jus beautiful!

I don't really have an interest in going anywhere else right now. I went to Panama last month for a short while and shoooot those people there hustle just as much as us in the U.S and it is a city filled with smog, hustle and bustle traffic, 8 am construction outside the window, and the 9-5 culture like any other city....unless you are trying to fall off the radar (which is pretty easy there) and live up in the mountains with the natives.

Now when I was in Arkansas, even though Arkansas was peaceful, yes somewhere else was calling me. My spirit told me last September that my time was coming to an end in Arkansas in 2010. My energy was no longer matching what Arkansas had to offer and I had gotten what I needed from that place....so I decided it was time for me to live my life how I wanted to. Right before I withdrew from school I kept having these random flashes & visions of me hanging out in Berkeley and that area, just real peaceful and chill with a big smile on my face and happy as ever. It was weird. So, I decided I am going to move to the Bay area. I leave next week. Something is calling me. Not sure what but I will see soon!

So maybe something similar is happening to you. Maybe your time is coming to an end where you are. Go within, what do YOU really want? Just go for it!
