I was in philly today, and on a corner, there was a older man, and what appeared to be his grandson or something. Then had paddywagon type van full of seeded watermelons. So I hopped out the car, and bought one. I told him I  been looking all over for seeded watermelons. He said the farmers are paid less for a seeded watermelon

getting paid more for less and less for more?? ?

Yep sounds whack to me. If anything seeded is just not right cuz it sounds like it was a seedless watermelon that you seeded.

I would have given him a lot more jut to prove a point after he told me that lol.

I have some watermelon in my frig now with seeds intact.  I don't think its a conspiracy, but people prefer seedless fruit.

I always marvel at how refined, enriched, modified, etc foods are dirt cheap....but something in it's natural, untouched state is an arm and a leg.

So you mean the more work, ingredients, process, etc you put into it, the less I pay? And if you do nothing at all to it, I gotta come w/ a truck load of money. Huh

I remember when seedless grapes came on the scene in the 1980's. Everyone thought it was great because of the convenience of not having to spit out the seeds. I also remember Rev. Phil Valentine say that you must have seeds in the fruit in order to get the information from Nature. How can Nature communicate with us if man is manipulating the process for convenience and profit? That is why I refuse to consume seedless grapes and watermelons.
