last night i was driving (2am-2:30) and a brown and white spotted owl flew right in front of my car really low. I turned to my aunt and asked her if she saw the owl and she said no. and shes glad she didnt bc she did not know if its a good or bad omen

Is it just chance or does an owl mean something?

Birds are messengers! The owl was giving you an omen. Owls usually deals with darkness (secrets) and knowledge. There is something you need to know, Beloved!

Thanks for the response. Now, I just need to figure out what I need to know. I guess I need to be doing some meditation and self reflection.

This is the second time in 2 months I have seen birds multiple times. Last time is was a red cardinal that kept appear out of no where in front me all the time or right outside my window.

My friend sent me this excerpt from the book Animal Speak-

the owl is the symbol of the feminine, the moon, and the night.

one who works with owl medicine will be able to see and hear what is hidden or in the shadows. you can detect and pinpoint the subtleties. this can make others uncomfortable because they will not be able to deceive you about their motives or actions.

owl people have a unique ability to see into the darkness of others' souls and life. this vision and hearing capabilities has metaphysical links to gifts of clairvoyance and clairaudience as well.

wow very interesting.

I've been noticing some strange occurences with birds as well, I was driving and this red cardinal was in front of me, and all of the sudden he seemed to stop flying horizontal, and flew straight up (vertical), as if he was a rocket taking off.  Don't think I ever seen a bird to that.

This bird was was stationed at my house on Tuesday. When I walked out he or she circled around me continuously and I knew what this meant: There was a message for me and it was one of death (but not a bad feeling, but a pleasant, calm, acceptable feeling). As soon as I realized this bird was acting strange, I begin to think, who's going to transition soon? Lo and behold, that Thursday (less than 48 hours) I received word that my maternal grandmother transitioned.

Glad I learned about the messengers called birds, and very early in life.

Cardinals - From Animal Speak

Quote
the cardinal's presence reflects a time to renew our vitality. it reflects lessons in developing and accepting a new sense of our own true self-importance.

keynote: renewed vitality through recognizing self-importance.
cycle of power: year- round

they remind us that regardless of the time of day or year, we always have opportunity to renew our own vitality and recognize the importance of our own life roles.

the cardinal has a loud and clear whistle. whistles are often reminders to listen closely -- to pay attention to what is blowing on the winds.

cardinals can reflect a need to be more careful about your diet, that what you are eating may be injurious to yourself and affecting your overall vitality.

cardinals lay three to four eggs, and they hatch in about twelve days. this, along with it being a 12-month resident, reflects the rhythm of twelve that is going to become more prominent within your own life.

these birds are named for the cardinals of the roman catholic church, with their bright red robes. if it is your totem, it may reflect past-life connections with the church, or even reviving of more traditional religious beliefs, regardless of denomination.

cardinals brighten the environment. when they appear as a totem, they do so to remind us to become like them. add color to your life, and remember that everything you do is of importance.

there are so many signs in nature, but often times we are to busy to notice. I don't take things that happen to me in nature to be a coincidence, because I know there is something I need to know.

Very interesting.

A few months back....I was in my garage and about 5 or 6 "regular" birds flew into my garage and a red cardinal was with them. They were jus chillin in my garage for a good 5+ mins.... then left.

I need to figure out what all these birds mean asap.
I had a dream last night (long story short)

I was in the supermarket with a friend and the total of the bill came out to 205.06 (4) my friend he paid for most of it, then I pulled out two 5's and a 20 (4). For some reason we decided to leave the heavier items in my friends car and the rest of us took the light items and decided to walk to my home (about 2 blocks away) As we are run to my house (laughing and joking) another friend pulled up to me  and we started talking about bird seeds. At that moment we were standing in front of my bird feeder (filled with seeds) and then my bag burst and I gave him the remainder of my seeds. We spoke briefly about the bird seeds and in the middle of the convo i hear a whistle that was annoying me.

In reality I woke up and I was wonder what was that whistle, only to realize I just woke up from my dream at 8:50am (4) and a bird was the reason why I woke up.

4 was a dominate feature in my dream because everything added up to 4 and then the bird seeds and the bird awakening me from my dream.

Got this from dream website

Bird
To see birds in your dream, symbolizes your goals, aspirations and hopes. To dream of chirping and/or flying birds, represents joy, harmony, ecstasy, balance, and love. It denotes a sunny outlook in life. You are experiencing spiritual freedom and psychological liberation. It is almost as if a weight has been lifted off your shoulders.

Birdseed
To dream of feeding birds with birdseed, suggest that you are nourishing your higher, spiritual qualities

Four
Four denotes stability, physical limitations, hard labor and earthly things, as in the four corners of the earth or the four elements (earth, wind, fire and water). It also stands for materialistic matters. You get things done.

This is so interesting. My husband has been having a lot of visions and dreams about a hawk and a owl fighting and the hawk always wins, now we see hawks soaring in the air all the time. I wonder what the hawk represents
