Is there really a such thing as a supreme being?

Is there really a such thing as a force that created the universe, humans, sun, moon and the stars? Or are we all just one cosmic whole, like the Bhuddist believe. What is the purpose of a supreme being. Why does he allow so much fucked up shit to happen. Why doesn't it answer people's prayers.

Yes, there is a force that is responsible for creation and in that force is intelligent existence. I think the problem comes in when human-kind attaches labels and tries to limit "the source," by giving it a de-finite-ion like GOD. Spiritually speaking, the source of all existence exist in us our ourselves and our ego or I-ness fosters the illusion of individuality. As to why alot of fucke up shit happens is a part of life and everything has its equal and opposite reaction or the law of cause and effect. To think that there is a supreme being governing our lives is religius thinking because it defeats the purpose of will power.

Supreme being can be looked at as a title of respect given to the highest authority or one who has excelled in a particular discipline. For example, from a financial standpoint, Bill Gates is the supreme being of this day and time. How many people have more loot than him? In fact, who has more control over our lives God or Bill Gates? Real talk. Because, if microsoft went away shit would shut down. lol Michael Jordan is the supreme being on the court and Jonny could be the supreme being on the BAR, etc.
