Peace & Greetings beloved,

Generally speaking, freemasons come from all types of religious sects and denominations. It is not surprising to have christians, muslims, buddhists, atheists, etc. sitting in the same lodge. However, within the lodge, they give praise to 'God' and refer to 'him' as the G.A.O.T.U. (Grand Architect Of The Universe). This is because freemasonry is basically a christian construct, or at least appears to be.

I hope this answers your question.
