My Moon does not oppose Pluto but it does square it, which is just as much of a challenge. According to what astro.com, this is what is said about Moon Square Pluto, which in some instances can be the same case as with Moon Opposition Pluto:

Quote
Moon Square Pluto

This aspect means that your emotions are often so intense that you seem to be at their mercy. When you are with people you like a lot, you easily become jealous and you may try to control those you love for fear of losing them. Of course, that is the fastest way to lose them, so you should try to trust the people you love and let them be.

You will go through several critical times when you very much need understanding and support from your family and friends. These emotional crises may seem to pull you apart, but they are stages in your inner growth that will help you become better, wiser and more mature.

For one thing what the first paragraph suggests is right on point. My Moon-Leo is in the 11th House of Groups and Friends, and I do assume the position of being #1 among all of those I consider to be my best friends. If I can not be the best friend they have, I usually say "forget it" (thanks to my Sun-Sag combination w/ Moon-Leo) and move on to the next one. To date, I can not say I have any true "friends," male or female.

As for the second paragraph, I experience this all the time. It is worth mentioning the only time I really connect with my "friends" and family is when I am dealing with issues that seem to be bigger than me. When things are normal or on the right track for me, I am very much to myself.
