Can anyone reccomend some children's books on holistic health (health and spirituality), particularly black children's books?  Or do you know of a good website or independent authors to purchase from?

looking for books for children in grades 5-8.

Thanks a bunch : )

I was reading a newletter subscription (Mojo Juice Club) I receive from Khepra Anu today, and his article was on Sugar and he mentioned: The Children's Health Food Book" by Ron Seaborn.  Based on his article, this book is geared towards children but I think adults would find it enlightening.

Khepra can be found at http://www.mojojuiceclub.com/.  He is in the Washington DC area.

Partial Newletter article by Khepra Anu:

"How Would You Like Your Sugar?
The Sugar Demon is Disguised in Many Foods
One of my favorite books is a children's book called "The Children's Health Food Book" by Ron Seaborn.  This book very simply defines the cause of all of our health issues by categorizing bad food as dangerous creatures.  The book is a brilliant work that should be on all of our book shelves whether we have children or not.

The dangerous creatures are a collective group known as the Mucus Gang and the individual culprits are the Meat Monster, the Dairy Goon, the Starch Creature, the Sugar Demon, and the Mucus Destroyer. Just as good as the names are, the artwork is even better. Why I reference this book in this article is that it very important to categorize everything we eat as either a life sustaining or a death causing entity. The Sugar Demon is a death causing entity whose twin brother is the Starch Creature. The two work together to first cause diabetes and constipation and ultimately develop tumors and cancer."
