While the US "Security State" makes cautious steps towards helping in Haiti, a team of doctors led by Cuba is providing emergency care to 600 to 700 Haitians a day including dozens of surgeries.

You can't send any money to Cuba to support this effort though. If you did, you could be charged with supporting the "Axis of Evil."

Send it to the US Red Cross or the Bush/Clinton Fund instead so they can skim their share off the top and deliver next-to-nothng with what's left over.

The Red Cross was caught red handed looting donations sent for 9/11 and "Katrina," yet people still send them money. The power of the "free press" I guess. (Google for the details. It's not hard to find the details.)

Apparently a competent authority can make things happen afterall so I don't wanna hear all this bullshit no more about how hard and impossible it is to have order.

many countries other than USA are getting it done. Especially the latin countries, they have strong times with Haiti esp cuba. Alot of doctors received education in spanish speaking countries. The Israeli team I heard is doing an excellent job as well,  they have made a 'hospital',  they have equipment etc.

Not to mention my little Turks & Caicos Islands.  The island of Provedenciales is now the go-between point from the U.S. and other Caribbean countries and Haiti.  They stop here to get fuel going and coming and while they wait they and the evacuees are provided with meals and any other supplies that might be needed.  The operation is manned and supported by the people of these beautiful islands at a private airport facility.

I never give to the Red Cross or to any other organization for that matter, however, I am meditating on sending supplies to Yele.org. Anyway, the Red Cross and other organizations never seem to get donations to the causes. Their executives, get big fat rasies, but very little makes it to the relief efforts.
