i thought to myself that i need loosen up and be more social and stop being all bout work. i can be a workaholic, overly ambitious and very serious. since i began thinking that people have been popping up at my house like crazy.

Hmmm...sounds like someone has been paying attention to their transits. Did you know that both the Moon and Mars are currently transiting the 11th House of Groups and Friends? Well maybe not the Moon since it changes signs every 2.5 days but you sure have the lessons down pat. From my chart I too need to 'open up' and find more friends/be more friendly. What else are you finding in your current transits?

Yeah I am looking to do the same. Unfortunately right now it is very difficult to view my transits in full since I am on my BlackBerry, but once I get to ahold of a PC I'll check mine out as well. It will be a great thing to do to start off the new year.

Thats what I've been doing lately. I've began to open up and speak to people much more than before. I usually kept thinking of bad outcomes like getting a rude reply or scoff but I haven't experienced none of that. Its also good to remember most people act on a subconscious level and that thinking made me stop taking things so personal. I could care less what people think of me.

See- if I was one of those folks who could care less about how folks thought of me, I would be much more improved as a person. There was actually a point in time where I barely connected with anyone and just "did my thing." While I was satisfied with who and where I was in life, I had to learn to open up to others and connect with them. If you ask me, the issue was not that I started opening up to others; the issue was that I did it too much even to the point where I expected others to be there and reach out to me the way I did with them. Sadly I start off 2010 learning the hard way that no one will ever do as much for me (even as a friend) as I have done and would do for them. That makes me reluctant to bring more people into my life.

Kwabena: I can relate to that. I have found that I have a very social side (at times) but have to know when to extend myself and when not to go too far out for people. For me right now, I think I have learned to just use more wisdom and discernment in who and how I help people, especially friends or so-called friends (I even learned this through doing business). I found that when I expected from certain people, that's when I was much more disappointed b/c some people just outright don't give a care once they get what they want or need. I had to pull back on the "saving people" role (who frankly don't want to be saved) that I personally used to play to allow more for an overall exchange.

Yeah I feel you. I do have to admit I allow my "save the world" attitude take over how I relate to others. I was on the phone with a 'peer' of mine and we were talking for at least an hour about this. One thing I asked him that I ask myself every single day is this: what would happen if we did not extend and reach out to help others? In all honesty, I lose sleep when say a "friend" asks me if they can borrow money and I reject them. This has a lot to do with the fact that I don't like being rejected at all, but then again I would never ask for something if I did not need it. Getting back to people- it upsets me how we can feel okay taking advantage of each other sometimes, because it arouses insecurity.
I'll get back on topic because I felt like rambling on, but the thing is it is sad when you have to be cautious of people you want to be able to trust. Then again that's just my personal viewpoint.

Yep I hear you on being cautious of people we want to trust. I think its that maybe we just want to trust people or just show love to people regardless, but our wisdom and intuition tells us otherwise depending on what makes us think/feel we can't trust them (a lot of times it's something subtle) so we are struggling with wanting to trust vs listening to intuition and some amount of a jugement call with the whole rejection part on top of it. Then again, I am just speaking from personal opinion/observation

Understood. So on that note, it is all the more reason to be wise and place more emphasis on intuition than personal desires, including but not limited to desiring friends.

Geez, why didnt I step into this thread earlier..
Iagree with ether
I need to connect better with people. I tend to run when people try to get too close. and I naturally attract people but at the same time shun them away because I grow irritated with their frivolous behavior. Also cling on behavior like wanting to go everywhere with me. All in time I suppose.
Kwabena you are very similar to me figures since we share many of the same placements.

spoken like a true carpicorn. lol i used to get turned off by frivilous behavior. but then i learned sometimes it does not have to be a meaning/value to everything. sometimes you just need to relax and have fun. alot ogfthing babies and children do is frivolous

Well that is fine and well, 360- I could see where your lesson to connect better comes in, since Saturn is currently in Libra as we speak transiting the First House (headed into the 2nd). Unless Saturn goes in retrograde (which I don't think it is), your lesson of connecting with folks will be done.
Now as far as leaving friends due to being irritating and cray behavior, not me! lol my Moon-Leo dominates my approach to friendships and connections. If I'm gonna consider you a friend, at the very least I need to recognize that the person is in some way better/smart/wiser/more intelligent than myself, and will push me to be right up there with them. I am not looking for perfection, but definitely someone driven to get ahead and live their lives to the point where they strive to reach their full potential. In doing this, whether or not I can trust them and worrying about them taking advantage of me should be of little to no concern. Oh yeah- another problem lol - as a Virgo-Rising native I see the world through 'Virgin' eyes, so I was just joking when I said "no perfection" haha (and that is with no planets in the First House). Good thing is after a while, I don't care so much about the 'perfectionist' in a person (Sun-Sag).
So much for all that - I was meaning to say once I have dropped you as a friend, chances are it is over. If I detect too muuch of a child in a person, I begin to see them as and treat them like it. I am a Jupiter-Aquarius in the 5th House native, I am a natural dealing with children so I can easily talk to people as if they're children. Not that I intend to, but you get what you ask for...I'm tellin' you.
