The Healer is my favorite song on that album. I played it on repeat constantly when I first got the CD.

Ooooh! I forgot about this one. I love this song too. I gotta listen to this CD again. It's been a while. Is it just me, or does The Healer sort of send you into a trance-like state? Erykah Badu is always on some other shit, but something tells me that The Healer is more than just a mere song.

yeah, i kind of get that feeling with The Healer, but the trance-like state becomes fuller (for me) with My People. the song is so layered and i am easily transported somewhere where inspiration is easy to find.

oh yeah, The Healer may be more than a song, but i usually feel that most music is more than the song itself (depending on the intent of the artist).

New Amerykah Part Two (Return of the Ankh) is definitely is going to be a grand awakening for this year 2010. If Afrikan, Nubian, Nuwaupic consciousness (or what title you may prefer) wasn't obvious last year 2009, it will be now.

True, it's all the intention the artist place in the song. As for the healer it was the first song I heard off the albulm and i did wonder about it being more than a song, but they all are.
