how do you find the dominant planets/houses in your astrologcal chart?

most website want you to pay a fee to find out. how can i figure this out on my own? also the websites i get my natal chart from are placing certain planets in different houses. how do i find out which house the planet belongs in for sure?  if a planet shows up at the end of a house does it go in the first or the second house? or does it pick up both of the vibrations of the two houses?

I am trying to understand what you mean. According to how I am understanding you, you have to look at what signs the planets are in. On that note, you also have to check the degrees and minutes of each placement. Of course in order to do this, you'd have to know the Rising sign.

For example- say you have someone with a Moon in Aries and Scorpio-Rising. Chances are the Moon would be in the 6th House, since Aries is on the 6th House cusp.

You want to, if not already, get in the habit of focusing on the signs on the outer wheel.

Take your chart and list all 10 planets in the signs they may be in (in your natal chart) and then find out the ruling RULING planet of the zodiac sogn:

Sun in Taurus (Taurus ruled by VENUS)
Moon in Sagittarius (Sagittarius ruled by JUPITER)
Mercury in Taurus (Taurus ruled by VENUS)
Venus in Taurus (Taurus ruled by VENUS)
Mars in Gemini (Gemini ruled MERCURY)
Jupiter in Scorpio (Scorpio ruled by PLUTO, MARS)
Saturn in Taurus (Taurus ruled by VENUS)
Uranus in Libra (Libra ruled by VENUS)
Neptune in Sagittarius (Sagittarius ruled by JUPITER)
Pluto in Virgo (Virgo ruled by MERCURY)

Okay, so here are the # of planets in my chart:

Venus = 5
Mercury = 2
Jupiter = 2
Mars = 1
Pluto = 1

Normally it would only be 10 planets total but some signs share 2 planets (or are ruled by 2 planets).
