i did a meditation to the sound of a gong in an acting class i was taking and man did i feel good afterwards. the instructor said that the sound of the gong has an affect on the body. i am thinking about purchasing that cd the gong sound. it seems i can meditaie better with music/sound than with silence.

I agree. My cousin sent me some Theta Brainwave MP3's (Light, Mid-Deep, and Theta) a few months ago. One of them in particular always seems to send me straight into meditation. I think it's the one that is Creativity and Inspiration Light-Mid Theta.

I find a now that it helps tremendously when I breathe deeply and concentrate more on breathing in by expanding my abdomen and breathing out through the mouth. Learned that tip from listening to the Goddess Roundtable meditations. Breathing this way allows me to meditate much better with or without music.
