I was in the car earlier listening to Maxwell (I absolutely LOVE LOVE him!) and I started getting all these ideas.
I find that I tend to gravitate too towards music that has a sexual, romantic, and sensual type sound but with soul to it (or maybe I interpret it as such) with certain instruments, sounds, and frequencies, (which makes sense to me being that sexual energy is very creative energy).

My question is, do you all have any music that you can share with us that gets your creativity flowing?

I like John Coltrane-Coltrane for Lovers CD, Sade, jazz CD's, and Steve Halpern Chakra Suite to mention a few.

Thats me to a T

sometimes I just want to hear some undaground hip hop though and go hit the heavy bag for 20 minutes. but other than that.

also some bobmarley classics, half pint, buju, etc.

I've been listening to my fathers albums though recently and have heard some amazingly inspiring unreleased music i never heard before.

I get creative Ideas from listening to maxwell but a different kind of set of ideas (hehe)  So does maxwell , sade, coltrane etc give you recipe ideas or you mean ideas in general. Like brainstorming.

Yes, I remember listening to that link you posed on FB of some of your dad's music. It is beautfiul.

LOL @ a different set of ideas...I bet   Wink

More like general creative ideas that I come up with but just need to bring them to life now. However, I did listen to his new CD on repeat last night and I came up with some nice creative food ideas for Valentine's day. They actually came to me while working on something totally different. Kind of like romantic theme foods and desserts.

It's like I go into a daydream zone when I listen to certain songs by Sade.

Bombs over Baghdad by Outkast, this song just gets me motivated.

"Hello ghetto, let your brain breathe, believe there's always more." Dre3000

"Before you re-up get a lap top, start a business for yourself, boy set some goals, make a pair of diamonds out of dust and coal" Big Boi
