Interesting opportunity for me right now.

So my city is getting funding for a charter school. ( I know exactly what charter means in the grand scheme of things)

However I have an opportunity to be on the curriculum team and work in conjunction with the board of ed to devise a high school curriculum .

Now as conscious peoples, what do you think should be in the curriculum.

We are building right from scratch.

Educate young people about finance and credit, practical law, nutrition, definitely media courses with sources from around the globe, community service, government, politics, cultural trends

My friend gave me an idea last night. She went to quaker school when she was younger and they had an open period for about 45min of just silence. The students could do whatever they felt like: meditate, pray, just stand up and say whats on their mind. I thought was a good idea. a free period for silence.
