Interesting opportunity for me right now.

So my city is getting funding for a charter school. ( I know exactly what charter means in the grand scheme of things)

However I have an opportunity to be on the curriculum team and work in conjunction with the board of ed to devise a high school curriculum .

Now as conscious peoples, what do you think should be in the curriculum.

We are building right from scratch.

Entrepreuriship
African History
A media and society class... that gives the history of images that we see in the media especially of ourselves
Possibly yoga can be added in the phys ed?
The arts

Finance and economics, very good, yeah I also didn't have it, we know why too.

A media and society class, I guess that could be called anthropology, so yeah thats  great too.

Yoga in phys ed , excellent, I would like boxing and martial arts too personally, although laws probrably wouldnt allow this.

Damn 360, forgive me for my language but yes that is a huge opportunity that will affect alot of folks.  I agree with Rae and add Metaphysics/Mindset

In your economics class you should have everyone play the Cashflow 101 game. If they don't get out the rat race, they don't pass the class! Self-esteem coaching would be beneficial as well. All the other ideas from the family were great for the curriculum too. Good luck with the charter school! I hope it is all that you envision it should be!

I would add nutrition, especially as it relates to health, politics/government, and quantum physics.

Studies show that emphasis on the arts and sports leads to all around good grades and test scores.

put in LOTS of music programs and lots of media programs.

*Sports/Physical Education (yoga, pilates, aquatics, etc)
*History (all types)
*Finance
*Writing/grammar (a lot of people cannot write)
*Communications/Public Speaking

lol heavensun...my handwriting depends on my mood and time. something like handwriting needs to be learned at a young age, by 9th grade you are already set in your penmnship

360 my sister took some type of karate for 4yrs in high school. Students had the chance to move up in belt ranks. I wouldn't think martial arts would be an issue,but she went to catholic school... they have their own set of rules, not sure if it would differ with a charter school.

Congrats 360!!!  Wut kind of charter school is it?  Is it holistic centered?  If so, I would say DIVINE sexual education most definitely (maybe within an afterschool program or something).  Much blessings...
