i am currently watchig a documentary on haiti's voudun religion. it sya a man was injecting with poison by a witch doctor after getting into a dispute over family land. he said he was dead until the witchdoctor himself dies. he then came back to life. his medical records show that he was prononced dead and no one could explain this phenomena.


i want to know what any of you on this board think about this.

Dont believe everything you hear about Vodou. Alot these media outlets are coming from a perspective that puts the religion in a negative light.

The whole thign with zombies is kind controversial. Are the people actually under a spell? or are they injected with poison from the blowfish (certain type creates illusion of death).

I have heard form two sides. Some say these hougan are manipulate their knowledge in science and creating an illusion. Others say that these things are actually true.

Of course this form of Vodou is the dark side, just like any religion. You have the people that take things to another level.

I believe that some people are manipulating and other truly have the ability to connect with spirits. Its a very interesting subject.
