Certain people will never take responsibility for their actions. Hey, why should they? That's why we have insurance, doctors, pharmaceuticals, vaccines, certain "benefits" that keep us in a "certain state of dependence", government and agencies, etc etc. People don't really NEED to take responsibility when all of this is available.
I wrote about this same topic recently somewhere because I thought the same as you guys. It was especially funny to me because a few people I know all of a sudden were outraged, shocked, etc about the law.
So true, why do we need a law to tell us what is reasonable or right or wrong? I was reading an article here where I live right after the law was passed. There was a lady whose teenage daughter died, I believe it was last year, in a car accident while texting and driving. The mother said in the article "maybe my daughter would still be alive if this law had been in effect back then".

??
There again, depending on the "our father the government" to make common sense ass laws and police to enforce them. Why do we need to take responsibility when we can just wait for them to think for us and tell us what we need?
The reason you heard crickets when you asked that question is because none of them probably ever thought about it. Those are the ones who will hit your parked car and drive off and not say one word and just imagine it's millions more just like them. This is why people need all kinds of insurance to cover damages that irresponsible people make. I don't believe people will ever take responsiblity for their actions which I believe leads to a police state.
I agree with Newdeep as well. Plus, they DON'T WANT to think about it, don't have to, and never will even if given the information and opportunity. Too much other important BS to think about.
