Activated Charcoal

Hello, on the packet of A. Charcoal it states to add 1/2 tsp to a cup of water.  How much water is required?  I normally use 8 oz. but the solution is too gritty.

I never really measured... and I kinda like the grittiness, actually.

Another charcoal product I tried is too powdery.

Thanks Mr. Transcend, it is all good.  I can deal with the grittiness.
