I asked a gentleman from Ghana about this fruit.  He said he has tasted it before and seen it growning, but they did not use it very often because it does not go well with the local cuisine.

Edited to add...He did say that it made lemons very sweet and not at all sour though...

Yeaa I can associate with the berry we use to eat that a lot growing up in Ghana..
this thing pretty much makes bitter oranges and lemon sweet. It's kinda like a catalyst for the taste buds.

Last time I checked (six months ago) you could buy it as a fruit from companies online. People were doing this and then having tasting parties...
