I have been nauseous for the past couple of days, accompanied by headaches, sluggish or tired feeling, a metallic taste in my mouth and very strange and vivid dreams. Normally my dreams are precognitive or predictive but for the past 3 weeks or so, they have been very strange as they have been dreams that contain people I no longer associate with and are really to hard for me to decipher. I either wake up frightened, alarmed, or just out of sorts with myself.. I have been waking up very early for the past few days (like before 6 am) because of the dreams. The metallic taste is still there after I brush my teeth (I use Weleda oral care products). I have been drinking Ginger tea every morning for the past few days so I can at least move on with my day.My diet is mostly vegetarian ( I occasionally slip with meat but not often, less than 2 times per month). Based on the instructions on the box, it is still about 2 weeks to early for me to do a home pregnancy test and I am not trying to rush to the "doctor" as I don't like dealing with them ,especially on such a sensitive subject (the dreams). Anyone have any uncommon symptoms or know anything about (male and female comments are welcome)

I had all those same issues that you are having early in my pregnancy.  The taste goes away after awhile, I'm not sure if anyone on the board has any suggestions on how to get rid of the metallic taste.  I am going to be 9 months in about a week and I still get up early at around 5:30-6:00am every single day, so that is something you might as well get use to.  They usually say that that will usually be the time the baby will get up when it is born.  I felt very tired as well in the beginning stages of my pregnancy but as far as the headaches and throwing up, I never had it (but people do experience it).  I think your body is naturally detoxing and getting ready for the baby.  And I know exactly how you feel about those dreams, they are crazy as hell.  I use to get up almost everyday thinking WTF?! What was that all about?

So there could be a strong possibility that you are pregnant, but that's just a guess based on your post.  I hope that helps.  Wish you all the best luck Smiley

Thanks, it does help a lot. We have been trying to have a little one for about 3 years now and I was just about to give up. I did take the home pregnancy test but it was negative. I still had another week or so to wait but I was just excited. I will let you know if something changes soon.

Well after I concieved in March about 2 or 3 weeks later in April I was at work and the room start spinning and I got all this spit in my mouth and I couldn't swallow any of it and then I started to get the chills and I just threw up everywhere. I didn't know that I was pregnant until May though. I was in denial about being pregnant because I only threw up that one time at work. Oh and I spotted the first 2 or 3 months.

I was just reading in this book that states nightmares during pregnancy is normal; it represents nerves that a woman has for her baby. some believe that nightmares are a natural way our bodies release the anxiety that is built up for your unborn child. The more you have nightmares, the more your body relaxes, bc you have to let all your fears out during your pregnancy. The book was stating that during labor those who had alot of nightmares during pregnancy will have an easy birth and usually one that is less then 10 hours (that still seems like alot lol!)

I hope that is true because I had a lot of those dreams.  I'm trying to be in and out of the maternity center, 10hrs is ridiculous.

Well the update is I had one day of a period (literally) , which is a week earlier than it should have been, and have taken 2 pregnancy test and they both came back negative. I am hoping that it is too early to test and that why the negative results. I would be disappointed if I am not. If I find out I am not, then I have to choke it up to a severe hormonal imbalance and kick my detox and raw food diet up past 100. Then I would also have to find another cause for these crazy symptoms!
